Mario Williams $8,500,000
Branden Albert $7,200,000
Byron Maxwell $5,500,000
Koa Misi $4,200,000
Earl Mitchell $4,000,000
Cameron Wake $4,000,000
Dion Jordan $3,225,313

Releasing these and more players could create about $40 million in cap space plus 2016 rollover, that would put the Dolphins a whopping $75,727,063 under a projected $166,000,000 2017 salary cap.

I think the first thing the team should do is to get Gase a veteran coach. The team has no one with head coaching experience and it shows. Second draft draft draft!?! enough with all these high priced FAs they don't work. Good luck with the rest of the season...too bad we were just here last year. This is even worse because we are supposed to be better.

I think the plan was always to cut most of those guys and use the $ to buy Joseph his defense, thats why we didn't spend any long term money.

someone has been reading my "tank" threads? Just don't cut them, trade them for any pick we can get, even if it's a seventh rounder

Agree 100% on Maxwell, Misi and Mitchell. Dion Jordan is low risk at this point though. Albert is always injured, unreliable and therefore expendable. We could also add Pouncey and Cameron Jordan to that list. Mario still has it, Wake is getting up there.

Time to blow it up. Get a lot of picks so we can move up and grab our QB!

So with that amount of cap space, what would your Free Agency strategy be?

Yeah I prefer to trade Pouncey, and if they won't use wake to his full potential then let him go too.

Won't happen until Tannenbaum is gone. Shoulda been done this year, but Tannenbaum decided to hand out massive contracts and throw away draft picks instead, because it's the only thing he knows how to do.

But if you don't want us to go after free agents then what's all the cap space for?.......I'm not big on spending on expensive free agents but if we have that kind of space I'd get me the top two guards in free agency and fix the darn problem once and for all. After that I'd go for a LB that can make plays. I agree draft but we already traded away our 3rd and 4th round picks so you're gonna need to use free agency to bring talent in.

It is too early to discuss this topic, but I would keep Williams and Wake. The rest can go. I am fine with a line of Tunsil, Steen, Pouncey, Urbik, James/Bushrod/FA/Draft. Turner and Thomas should be replaced with competent depth.

Idc what they do this off-season, if they get rid of pouncey it's a win

A couple of things about Pouncey. First, he sucks at guard. and the other thing is that he's been the leader of our oline and they suck. He's their leader but he's not a good leader to have. This guy cares more about being "cool" and party that about making the line better and on top of that he's always hurt. It's time to move on from him and imo some of the culture problems we have on our team start with him

Cut all them. No more half measures. Gut this team and start over.

I'd keep Mario, Misi, and Wake. Jones and Landry are also going to want new/big contracts which even though they are going to demand more than we should be willing to pay you Have to pay it. You just dont let those guys walk. We desperately need new guards, better lb's, and at least one more good cb. Some money has to be spent in FA, if a quality starting caliber player is available at any of those positions then you go after them hard. Then draft the ones you couldn't get in FA, or double down at the positions.
