This is the weakest the AFC East has maybe ever been. The Patsies haven't been this vulnerable since Brady was out for the year. That we are at the bottom of this **** division is as disturbing as it gets. Time for Ross to grow a pair and blow it all up. At least at the top. Whole new FO and coaching staff has to happen. There are some glimmers of life on this roster though that are worth building around. And I'm not ready to give up on Tannehill.

All starts with Terriblehill! Bad reads, can't hold on to the ball, inaccurate passes, and tipping his snap count.

I give Tannehill and Sherman a 50/50 split. Tannehill is not making presnap reads and Sherman is not recognizing this. He keeps tipping his cap with empty backfields and that is a recipe for disaster with Tannehill. It's either being overly stubborn or completely ignorant. Either way Sherman is gone in 9 games or less. Unfortunately we're probably stuck with Tannehill for at least another year.

When your roster is capable of gaining advantages over most teams in the league, you don't need to blow it up. You need to get a coach that knows how to translate what his team does well into wins. Did SF need to blow things up when they had mediocre seasons year after year? No, they just needed to get a good coach in there. KC did well without blowing it up this year. Teams have a habit of letting you know when things really do need to be blown up, but being in every game, making a lot of positive plays in the process, and seeing one or two mistakes be the difference in winning and losing doesn't merit that, it means that you have to get a staff who can teach them to not make those mistakes. I just don't see anything from this current staff that makes me think they are capable of doing that.

Best post of the thead. Let the season play out. FIRE them all ONLY when the season ends. Ross needs to maintain compusre shut the **** up and wait. If he looks for a coach while Philbin is employed or fires him week 11 I will be pissed. Ross needs to show he is willing to give guys a chance but this season isn't going anywhere and we as fans need to accept this sad fact. I didn't want to believe it until last week and then the first half yesterday had me fooled thinking we might still have a chance. Nope nevermind we don't. Dolphin ****ing luck. If we didn't have bad luck we would have 0 luck.

There is a thread about Gruden, he already turned the Dolphins down a couple of years ago. Same with Bill Cowher. Even if these guys decided they wanted back in, why would they choose Miami over other possible destinations? The Giants might be looking for a new coach. Same goes for Houston. What does Miami offer above those teams?

Not saying it is an excuse to keep what we have or even endorsing that we need to keep what we have. Not saying that at all, just wondering what quality coaches and GMs out there would want to come to Miami?

Didn't say that. Just asked what good coach or GM would come here? We have had 7 head coaches since the 2004 season, not exactly screaming stability to potential candidates. Why come here if you got other oppurtunities on the table? What makes the Dolphins special?

Seven? That's like saying Ireland only gets 3 seasons of fail on him.

Since 1970 the Dolphins have fired 2 head coaches. Nice try at including guys who quit and interims.

It's probably because any coach worth his weight would be able to look at the pieces we have in Miami and say that they can get better (and winning) play out of them. Tannehill? Trainable. Wallace? Poorly utilized. The defense is full of capable pass rushers. Most coaches would stop at Tannehill and believe they could turn his talent into a winner. If Jeff Fisher went to the Rams because of Sam Bradford, certainly RT is good enough.

There's a lot on this team that good coaching and a good draft couldn't fix. The problem is, we're not really getting either right now.

The Dolphins are like my golf game. I can hit more good straight shots with woods and irons now, yet I still make enough bad ones, overall, including putting, to keep my crappy scores crappy. Miami has improved its talent but still sabotage themselves every game just enough to lose.
