he isnt worth anything yet. But, if he does build some value in the preseason and some team loses their RB to injury before the trade deadline, trading Ricky would be very possible.

Its nice to have such a punch at RB, after being so ishty in that area last year, but if his value is there, and its such that we can get a second rounder next year, then we trade him. BUT, if good backs such as Shaun alexander, and Edge didnt garner any respect when they were shopping themselves around last year, how good is the market for a quality back?

Ricky is a dolphin for sure this year. the jags were inquiring about Lamar Gordon. We shall see come October what happens. Sammy Morris i think deserves to stay because he does have some moves and is good coming in in a pinch with fresh legs.

what he said.

keep ricky as the 1-2 punch and our rb will be good for many years to come. screw trading him for a draft pick.

with ronnie signing...hopefully sometime soon, and the contract going to be offered...we will not be able to keep ricky if he performs this year.

Gordon is the most likely candidate for a trade. We woulnt get much for Morris and I dont think he will be cut as so far he is earning his spot.

I think its most likely that teams are waiting for our cuts.KayJay would be picked up pretty fast.Minor too.

You may be able to get a conditional 6th or 7th rounder for Gordon and if you trade Rickly maybe he brings back a 5th. I think teams have learned not to waste any mroe high draft picks on Ricky, has there ever been a player where more 1st round picks have been wasted on them?

Alexander and James had huge contract demands. Teams weren't willing to pay that much for them.

Why is everybody so quick to want and trade ricky? Ronnie's punk*ss hasn't even made it to camp yet. Not to mention the strong possibility that he might be a mediocre player at best. I'm still far from sold on this kid, he had a below average college carrer and a great combine. We have all seen players with much more potential end up as busts. Don't forget Ricky is playing for veterans min., while this unproven kid is going to be the highest paid player on our team before he even puts his pads on. I hate to say it but untill proven otherwise even Ricky is a more reliable player than ronnie.:shakeno:

Not sure, but can they trade him while he is serving a suspension? And when exactly is the trade deadline?

It all depends on their contracts. Alexander and James hurt their value by demanding big money.
A younger, less talented player with cap friendly numbers might fetch equal trade value.

Gordon is young and has cap friendly numbers. He's worth considerably more than a 6th or 7th for him.
