A lot of speculation as to WHY Brandon was traded... well let me throw this our for discussion...

What if....

Brandon Marshall heard for fact that Manning IS NOT coming to Miami and threw a hissy fit, which consisted of calling out Jill Ireland.. Ireland in turn said lets dump Marshall for what ever we can get..

To me, that sounds like a very strong possibilty of what went down..

hmmmm could be....i just wished some action would start already prefferebly who is going to be qb and now ? at WR......i would love to see V-jax but i heard he is talking with the bucs about a contract

For some reason I only noticed this thread instead of all the others. I really hope this isn't what happened.

No. Jeff Darlington on NFL Network said that this has been brewing for some time. The organization was tired of Marshall not getting along with QB's (among other unnamed circumstances). He specifically mentioned the inability to get along with Henne.
I bet the brass figured that since they were going to bring in a new QB- be it Manning, Flynn or a draft pick- they wanted to get Marshall out of there before he could get off on the wrong foot with a new guy.
Dolphins are picking high in the draft, now have an extra third, there are WR's available in FA, they will find someone to replace Brandon Marshall.
And let's be honest, I was stunned when I saw the news, but Marshall dropped more touchdowns than he caught and rarely DOMINATED in games. He made a lot of catches, but not too many games did he take over. While he's an extreme TALENT, his headaches and his drops I guess were not worth the trouble. Two third rounders? I don't know about value, but this move makes sense. Philbin likely did not want to deal with a head case right out of the gate.

Maybe Marshalls mom got a job as a hooker... knowing Mr.Ireland he found out, he knows all

I look at a situation and see if it makes sense.. What Darlington writes doesnt make sense to me, but if this has been brewing for awhile, then I am certain Ireland would have landed better than two 3rds... Accepting what he did makes me thing this is more of a spur of the moment type trade with a nice cap savings thrown in..

It is being reported that the trade had to go like it did because of BM's high salary the Bears had to absorb.

Maybe two 3rds, plus the high salary is all Marshall is worth.. but I sure would have guessed we could have gotten more for his talent..

The more I think about the trade to Chicago... The Bears really needed a receiver such as Marshall.. Not only is he a friend of Cutlers, but he's also big, strong and will become the new GO TO guy... Brandon Marshall coming to the Bears has made their offence much more fearful and surely worth more than two 3rd round picks..

I stand behind my theory that the trade was a last minute decision...

He changed it to BMarshall15 instead of BMarshall19

That's why I am glad he's gone. More concerned about his Twitter page than thanking the Dolphin fans for supporting his ass for 2 years. Good riddance. Why doesn't Brandon Marshall learn his lesson? Because he doesn't have any class.
