I'm sorry this has taken me so long to reply but I knew you toting this argument didn't hold water at all.
I looked up the first 5 OC's that came to mind and none of them had any OC experience before being given their first OC positions. Their names; Darryll Bevell, Gary Kubiak, Josh McDaniels, Greg Roman and Ken Whisenhunt. I stopped after looking up these five. I'm guessing there are many more OC's in the NFL who hadn't had any play calling experience before being given their first OC job. Try a new angle to bash the possible decision.
How are they supposed to have experience before their first OC experience? You do realize that is an improbability. Otherwise it wouldn't have been their first opportunity.
All OCs had no experience before their first experience.
