i think it will be some one within...no one's gonna want to come here with this staff on thin ice.

It is an issue. No doubt. That is why I said from the start that if Joe wanted Sherman he should have been left alone to keep him. Steve Ross does not know best.

Let Joe sink or swim with his guys.
 
Im not expecting an OC hire that will make the fan base say yea that's a great pick. Im sure u will have the usual suspects that will see the beauty in anything we do but if you are about to become an OC you want to come to a stable staff

You know something like this is coming right?..all these different names people have put some thought into and mentioned on this site...and yet we will just promote from within for various reasons, some that have been mentioned-lame duck head coach and GM, - someone Philbin is comfortable with and has an association with without fear of the new OC taking his job etc..

I really hope I am wrong but starting to get a bad feeling, like a Kippy Brown bad feeling..

You speak so logical people will be pissed…lol.

What you describe is the problem of firing Sherman. A HC in his first contract and GM who could be fired literally any day it is not a great place to establish yourself.

That is why if Ross was going to force a firing of Sherm and maybe later Ireland, why not just fired Philbin? Half measures do not work.

Can you imagine if Sherman looks BETTER than the actual hire?
 
I can't post this as a new thread because I'm not allowed to for some reason but I know a guy who is very close with Ben and even though he is interviewing in Cle. He wants to be the OC in Miami the guy I know just talked to him today he would be great for this team and tannehill
