NFL spokesman Greg Aiello revealed to Profootballtalk.com that Jamaican runner Usain Bolt would not be eligible to sign with any team as a free agent.
He'd have to declare for the NFL Draft. "If an individual calls us and wants to know if he is eligible for the draft, we ask him a series of questions," Aiello said. "When did he graduate from high school? Did he attend college? Have Usain give us a call." Thanks to Maurice Clarett, Bolt would need three years to pass since he graduated high school to be eligible. His split time in the 40 yards is 3.5, but Bolt is only 6'5/190. Adrian Wilson would probably love to see him go across the middle.
