Bonzi to the Kings; Bobby Jackson to Memphis; Ostertag to Utah...again

I dont understand why the Jazz give up 3 for Ostertag. Ostertag is old and horrible and they are giving up some young players

Makes no sense...Utah gets a washed-up center who happens to be a good guy for three young players making very little money. I don't understand at all what was in this for Utah...anyone want to explain?

I kept looking through the link to see what draft picks the Jazz were getting alos. I mean Snyder was pretty good for them this year, why give up on him for Ostertag of all people. Im glad Jackson left the Kings though, I can root for him on Memphis and he is a lot of fun to watch

I think you will see Ostertag get bought out of his deal. I'm not certain, but it looks like they are clearing up room to sign Jasikevicius, who has demanded more than any team can offer with the MLE. His stock has been rising every year as he guides his team to Euroleague championships, and especially after he schooled Marbury in the olympics.

It has to be that or this would puzzle me to no end...

Ostertag's in the last year of his deal, and as ferret suggests, will probably be bought out. They clear some cap room next year by moving Lopez, Borchardt and Snyder. Of those, only Snyder hasn't been established as a total bust. So basically, the Jazz agreed to facilitate this trade in exchange for getting some cap room next year.

So the Kings have traded J-Dub and Jackson to Memphis now. I always liked Jackson so I'll get over the loss of Bonzi.
