But as Maxwell turns his attention to his second season with the Dolphins in 2017, he looks around, sees young talent including Xavien Howard, Tony Lippett and Bobby McCain, and says the Dolphins should have one of the best secondaries in the league.

Maxwell’s enthusiasm starts with the three aforementioned young DBs plus, of course, “two of the best safeties probably in the league” in Reshad Jones and Isa Abdul-Quddus, plus Michael Thomas, captain of the special teams but a free agent.

Man, if this team can get some pass rushers and linebackers. That D will be freaking awesome!

Maybe they can, once they start spending more time on the field together instead of on injured reserve. 80% of life is just showing up.

Nice that he has confidence, but talk is cheap. Do it Maxwell (and company)...don't say it.

Especially playing another year together, they could take a big step up....less breakdowns and such when they all know the dance well.

Maxwell needs to play like he did after his benching, up til his injury. That was the guy that shut down receivers, like he did in Seattle. That season ending ankle injury hurt us. Say what you want, he's the best cover guy we have.

So, is Maxwell saying he's been replaced?

Let's see, First Seattle, Second Philly, and Third Miami. Yeah, I wouldn't want to leave South Beach either.
