Has anyone else noiticed the sudden attention the play callers have been giving to Chambers, yes he has had a few HUGE games and seems to be hitting his stride, but does anyone think the coaching staff is trying to inflate his numbers to trade him?

Please don't attack me I AM NOT SAYING "TRADE CHAMBERS" I'm simply saying do you think it is possible the coaching staff is simply trying to increase his trade value by calling his number time and time again dispite the numerous drops in the beginning of the season?

Anything is possible, but I seriously seriously doubt this is what's happening, and I'd be rather pissed if it was. Chambers is still one of my favorite players, he is now, and he was when everybody was trashing him.

I think chambers is getting more passes because it helps us win games! what sense would it make to trade chambers he's a big play threat on a reasonable contract, perhaps its a way of boosting his confidence "ok chris you dropped one, heres another pass show us what you can do"

There really is no chance at all, because they just re-signed him to a huge contract this past offseason. If they trade him, the cap hit would be astronomical.

Have you noticed this has taken place right after Saban called our WR's Decent and then had his sit down with Chris? I think Chambers said give me the rock and Saban called him out. After a couple weeks Chris got used to the attention and BAM!!! To trade him? I don't think so, he may even be our # 1 WR next year.

I agree just something about his acrobatics makes me love the guy, him and mcmike.

This year they have had a few problems, but seems they are finally starting to mesh better.

You may be very right, saban is known as the master motivator. I look for Chambers to start getting more attention from defenses again like they did in the past a lot of double coverages, and my fear is he can't beat the double coverage.

I hope he proves me wrong, hopefully next season when the system is a little more solid, and saban has a couple more peices of his puzzle in place, we will hear Chambers spoken about like steve smith is being raved about this year. (without the ******ed, idiotic and at times very gay looking TD celebrations Smith comes up with.:D )

Go phinz.............

Thanks for the replies all...

Actually, I think the same week that Saban called the recievers "decent," Chambers went out and had his 7-drop game.

I think its the FTS gameplan. Feed The Studs. Chambers is our stud receiver, lets get it in his hands. If he doesn't drop the ball he is very dangerous. His after catch moves and strength are awesome. When they start doubling him, that leaves a very capable Booker, athletic McMichael, or one of our stud RBs more room to catch the ball. Plus if we have speedy Welker in there he gets some room, look out cause he can take it to the house. Until someone proves they are willing to stop Chris, lets keep throwing his way. His confidence is sky high right now, he only dropped one pass last week, still has trouble with low passes cause he judges them wrong and lets them hit is chest before trapping them. Feed The Studs. I like it.

I heard on cold pizza after the cleveland game Saban told Linehan to feed the studs the ball. Viola

Exactly and if you read the rest of my post - as soon as he got used to the Attention he started to turn it on. You don't have 5 drops and 6 catches(NE Game) if your not getting throws your way. Booker being out also lifted his numbers.
