Dolphins | Boston Expected to Serve as No. 3 Wide Receiver Week 1
Mon, 5 Sep 2005 15:47:13 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR David Boston (stinger) practiced Monday, Sept. 5, and should serve as Miami's third wide receiver for Sunday's game, Sept. 11, against the visiting Denver Broncos. Boston suffered a non-contact injury when trying to catch a pass early in the first quarter of last week's preseason game.

Glad to see that he is healed from that injury. I can't wait to see how he does in a real game.

hey miner, you should really make those pics smaller of Ronnie & Ricky. It looks like they both already have 200 yards already

it's gonna be great to see boston as the slot reciever, with ronnie mcmike chambers, booker, so many options every play

Good idea to keep track of the stats though!
Brown is going to have one hell of a head start though

I'm not so sure any of our top 3 WRs are true slot receiver types, though. Wes Welker might be a better fit there. He's like Brandon Stokley except shorter.

I agree, but if Boston can pull it off with his strenght, he should have a excellence year against other team's 3rd CB's.

I remember when Gadsden use to be our slot guy. What is funny about Gadsden is that since he finished up his career in Miami as a starter and basically only ever catching 10 yard passes at most, people don't remember that as a slot receiver Gadsden was a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep playmaker. Marino use to lob that ball to him deeeep down the field in one-on-one coverage and Gadsden use to muscle it down. Remember that shoot out against the Colts? Actually that year was two shoot-outs against the Colts. We took one of them, lost the other.

I hope Boston can be used like that, but that's assuming we've got a QB who can get it there. Maybe we should start Sage after all...
