Boston Has Sprained Neck....

what? last year he was our #2 before we got Booker and Thompson caught the famous TD pass from Feeley to beat the Pats. Thompson can't be our #2 but can be our #3 but he will be our #4 and a good one at that
in other words, when Booker came in, Thompson got demoted. Now you think he can be a no. 3. If Boston didn't get hurt, he would've been 4. In other words, he sucks. So tell me again, how can he handle 3? It's easy to put anyone at no. 3. Question is, can he make an impact.

So he caught 1 pass against the Pats. That doesn't make him a bonafide no. 3.

why should I explain myself? he is worst then Boston but Boston also has great talent and led the whole NFL one year in receiving. I do know that Boston is better then him but Boston has the talent to be a #2 maybe even a #1 WR in this league. I agree that he will be our #4 WR but he's got some talent

There wouldn't be talk about trading Thompson in the first place if he was decent. His so called talent has yet to be realized is what I'm saying.

Learn your football Nick1. Thompson sucks. You can put him at no. 3 but doesn't mean "he can handle it" and that wouldn't say much about your wr's line up.

he's not the best #3 WR in the league but if it comes to it, he could handle the job thats all I'm saying. I never said he was the best

might as well run the ball if he ends up being no. 3.

you going to the Miami-Buffalo game?

I have to agree with Nick1...it wouldnt kill us to have DT as a #3 for a game or two. He isnt that bad. Its a moot point though because there is no one to throw to him or boston anyway

Thompson played well, he could handle our #3 WR spot if needed

Yea, I think Thompson OR Welker could fill in and do a good job until Boston gets healed, IF that is even necessary.

Depending upon the seriousness of the sprain, (1-5) it could be days, weeks or months. Remember that these guys take a lot of punishment to the neck and upper shoulders. Not to blow this out of proportion once, I had a severely sprained ankle several years ago (a 5) that required me to wear a walking boot for 6 months. If the sprain has ligament damage, muscle damange, or in the case of the neck, underlying spine (herniated disc) anomalies, then it could be a long time.

That being said, I praythat it is a simple sprain.:goof:

there is talk about trading Thompson because we are overloaded with WR talent. When i say talent with thompson i would say an average player. IMO Thompson is expendable. Boston is not injury prone. His knee went which can happen to any player. His neck is just a sprain which cud happen to the knee, ankle or wrist and then it wouldnt sound so bad. He will be back by the first game. Thompson may have had a few catches last night but its too little too late IMO.

Any injury is serious...But honestly a sprained neck could make him miss one game, if that....it isnt as bad as some of these nasty injuries.

Boston's neck injury can't too serious, he doesn't have much of a neck.....

Just don't let him hear you say that.

Anyway if the injury is serious, it shouldn't really matter, because with Randy (when he actually starts catching passes), Chambers, Booker, Welker , and Thompson (if he stays on the team) we should have more receivers than we need especially with the lack of a passing game we currently have.

Here's hoping it gets better in the regular season.
