Nick was known for his ability to walk into a recruit's living room and convincing that recruit to commit to him on the spot. He did that with a recruit from New Albany, MS, a few years ago. The recruit committed to him on the spot but backed out of his committment at the last minute due to the health of his mother. His mother later died, and this recruit lost the passion for the game. Sad situation. I helped put a venous access device into his mother.

He and his wife just had their 1st child. That alone could be a huge role in this. Maybe just maybe that could mature Boston. Having the responsibility of a child has known to do that to men before. :D

A motivated Boston would be a huge asset to the offense. It is like getting a number 1 draft pick. Actually better since he has been to the Pro Bowl and would make less money.

While Boston is busy trying to get back on the field, he has something else new in his life. His wife, who loves Miami, just gave birth to the couple's first child, a daughter, on May 1.

"He's into his daughter," Byron Boston said. "People talk about all this other stuff. He could care less. He had his first baby and he's really excited. . . . It's amazing to see how something like that can really change your focus."

I have 2 beautiful, intelligent daughters and believe me, if this does not help him mature nothing will.

Well I don't know how he would be used in this system but I am a firm believer that the more motivated people on a football team the better off the team is. Now lets hope he can stay healthy and motivated.

Totally agree with you. Had my daughter 2 years ago, and it completely changed all my perspectives in life, priorities change for the better. Let's just hope it's this way for David.

The biggest factor was his meeting with Coach Saban," Boston's father, Byron, said by phone from Humble, Texas. "He really liked him. I'm going to tell you, for David to say that, that's pretty (significant). He's a pretty nonchalant guy. He must have really made an impression on him."

You know whats odd, you never really hear any comments come from Boston directly. They tend to be through his father or someone else. Thats how it was last year as well. I would love to hear David personally come out and say, I'm here, this is what I'm about, and I'm ready to contribute.

I'm happy to hear that, and it's making want the season to start sooner. I can't wait to see our new Offense on the field. This team is going to do well. I'm happy for David and his new daughter. I hope that we are able to work something longterm out with him after this season if he does the right things. It seems as though his wife might want him to stay here.

I'd say a big factor in Boston picking the Phins over the Titans is the quote that his wife "loves Miami".

David Boston is a very shy individual. Did you not hear him in the press conference when he came to Miami, he is very quiet and shy. Did he not write a letter to coach, gm, and owner, about his willingness last year. He won everyone's heart over, then got hurt, and everyone started hating him again. All I can say is I wish we signed him to more then a 1 year deal.

I have the same name as Boston's father. So you know Boston will dominate this season.
