Boston or Thompson

the key to boston is to stay healthy if he can do that there is no question he could take d.tompson's spot and even booker if he is not careful.boston really looks like a diffrent person out there his head looks in the game i know i just heard that he had a baby girl let me say by experience that a baby changes your out look on life not for everybody but most people. boston has my vote here is to boston staying healthy and returning to old form. :drinkers: :beerbang: :nesucks: :billsbite :jetssuck: :monkeyl:

It is questionable if Thompson is even worthy of the #4 spot.

Heck.... I'll even say THOMPSON or FARMER!! I'm sick of Thompson being an underachiever. He was set up to be a monster out of Washington and I haven't seen squat.

In Linehan's system, we will likely see lots of 3 WR sets. Chambers is a given, and Booker played very well last night as the #2. Boston also looked, but not 100%. Still, Boston at 85% is better than DT will be on his best day. Gilmore also really helped his cause. Great grab on the TD and he has a ton of speed.

I think it's time for the gloves to come off here.

Both Boston and Booker have been Pro Bowlers. Chambers has not.

Both Boston and Booker have been over the magic 1000 yard mark. Chambers has not.

I really don't buy that Boston is ever going to be anything other than a shadow of his former self, but if he does return to that form, why on Earth wouldn't he be #1 with Booker as #2 and Chambers headed out to the slot?

If it is no insult to Booker to suggest something like that, it certainly shouldn't be an insult to Chambers to put it that way, right?

I really wish I could agree, cuz it would mean we had 3 probowl caliber receivers on the roster. Alas, I just don't buy it.

Boston: In his prime, he was incredible. Better than Booker or Chambers could be. Unfortunately, he isn't playing at that level now. I wouldn't argue his potential because he may still have the tools, but he doesn't run the same now as he did in AZ. Whether its his leg trouble (certainly a factor) or that he's carrying too much weight in his upper body, he seems to labor out there. In AZ he was smooth. And big, and scarily fast. I hope for great things and expect him to contribute at minimum as a very good #3.

Booker: He had some great years in Chicago. Was an awesome possesion guy and a good runner after the catch. He has never returned to form since his injuries w/ the Bears. He must be completely healthy, its been several years, and is a very solid player, but not a superstar.

Chambers: Has never put up the career years of the other 2, but has easily been the best of the bunch for the last 3 seasons. Chambers is also still coming on. He's been very good (albeit not great) is a terrible offense with a terrible QB. His routes can improve, but his athleticsm is top notch and he's a playmaker. He doesn't drop passes and he makes spectacular plays regularly. If he wasn't such a talent, his numbers could have been really ugly. He's hands down our #1.

I think I have said my bit on Boston, so I'll just address these two.

Booker had a nagging high ankle sprain his last year in Chicago. The injury was comparable to what Terrell Owens had in 1999 when he went from an 1100 yard season to a 750 yard season. Booker went from a 1200 yard season to a 700 yard season. The difference is a bit larger for Booker mostly because he missed one more game than Owens did with the injury.

By all accounts, Booker was fully recovered at the start of camp last year. He didn't rebound last year because of the cluster**** that was Miami last year. He didn't even have an OC who knew the offense -- how was he supposed to learn it?

If you're going to have a two year slump in your career, these are darn good reasons to do have it.

As to Chambers, I am sympathetic to his situation. I don't dislike him. Even still, look at the offenses Boston and Booker were a part of. They were difference-makers. Chambers has not been a difference-maker at this point in his career. That is one reason why the B's were Pro Bowlers and Chambers has not been.

i personally think as long as boston stays healthy he will end up our number 1 WR. call me crazy but imo he is our most talented wr and he is just as young as chambers. i would like to see boston and chambers on the outside and marty working the slot.

chambers, booker then boston.

thompson blew it by not catching that feeley pass in the 1st Q.
boston looked very good yesterday.

u got a point Feeley made a great pass a lil high but out of the reach of like 2 defenders and well within DT's jumping range. plus last season he was Aj's fav target

Ok, in that situation chambers would be slot. He's still our #1 receiver, but hes got the right body frame and skill for Slot.
