Boston regaining old form!

Riiiiight. :rolleyes2

Marcus Robinson had to contend with three subpar QBs (McNown, Matthews, Miller) and had to share the field with 947 yard gainer Bobby Engram. He still put up 1400 yards and scored 9 TDs.

David Boston didn't catch a pass from any QB but Jake Plummer and didn't have to worry about competition from anyone better than Frank Sanders with his 618 yards. He rang up 1598 yards and scored 8 TDs.

Take off those homer moon-eyed glasses and face reality. Boston has been through just as much as Robinson has been medically. They're the same player. If Boston ever reaches 657 yards and 8 TDs like Robinson did last year, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Before you go talking Chargers, remember that he tore a tendon between then and now.

While you're on point with the stats, Marcus Robinson and David Boston simply aren't the same kind of reciever. Robinson's forte is to have the QB throw it up to him due to his height and jumping advantage. Boston is bigger, faster, and likes those quick routes. His yardage mostly comes from YAC. In both their prime seasons Boston was clearly better and feared alot more.

I wasn't suggesting that they were the same player in terms of their play -- I was suggesting that they have been through the same sort of injury patterns (though not the same injuries) that have left them as role players. Boston is larger and may have been faster before the injuries, but those things make me worry about him more than Robinson if anything because the weight makes coming back harder and speed WRs tend to have more trouble making it back, not less.

Well he claims in his most recent transcript that he's playing at the 228lbs the staff set for him. Les we not forget, David Boston is a training ferrrreaaaaak. If there's anybody I'm convinced could come back from injury and be able to get his speed back it's him. That's no guarentee or anything, but I've got confidence in him to do so, confidence which I wouldn't have in alot of other players who don't train as hard as he does.

I'd like to address your point about "fear" and "better". You can give me Marvin Harrison or Hines Ward any day of the week. I don't give a darn about who coaches fear or who DBs see as a target -- I care about production. I think that's one of the reasons Booker isn't getting the respect he deserves -- he isn't "exciting".

I will say that I'm looking forward to having Booker throwing his option pass to any one of Boston, Chambers, McMichael, Brown, or Williams. That play surely has to make it into SL's playbook to be used once or twice. It used to absolutely kill for the Bears.

Thank you!:D

What a shocker, another negative comment from the little Bills fans Losman7, Chris Carter hasn't played in Minnesota since 2002, so based on Linehans 2003 and 2004 WR corp. I would say Linehan is probably liking what he is seeing.

God its gonna suck being a Bills fan when Saban's team starts crushing the Bills the way Shula's 70's Dolphins did (20 in a row)......ouch!

LOL! Lostman comes here for his daily abuse. :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

The vikings receivers may be better for one reason Well 2 reasons actually Daunte Cullpepper and AJ Feely. Miami does not have the big arm qb that Minn. has, daunte can throw that jump ball or launch it 65 yards down field , I don't think any of the QB's we have in camp can do either one. Miami's receiver's are more talented than that group from last year but I don't think they will put up those kind of numbers with out the Qb.

Hopefully Saban will have some plays, with the option pass of Booker throwing the ball down the field. He can throw the ball pretty darn well. He threw a beautiful deep ball to Chambers, i remember the analysts joking about how we found our qb when the play happended.

Well Daunte has one of the, if not thee strongest throwing arm for a qb in the league though, Feeley has a pretty decent throwing arm, it's strong enough I would say, a lot better than Fiedler.

With all due respect none of us are qualified to judge how some one is doing at camp. Have we ever coached a professional team? Have we been a G.M. ? When the pre-season starts, then maybe we can make somewhat of a judgment. Just a thought from a die- hard Dolphin fan....

You're actually suggesting that our collective inexpertise should keep us from judging camp but that preseason games are wide open?

:rofl3:
