I was just curious how Boston has looked. Alex Marvez writes that he thinks Boston may not even make the team. Any truth to this?

i was just at t.c. this weekend and he didn't stand out...may be by design though...saban may want to look at other players

Kolbiss, I also read somewhere, Allen Wilson I believe, that Lee Evans might not make the Bills roster. Is he really having that poor a training camp?

Latest on Boston from PFW.....

  • We hear that WR David Boston has not been impressive thus far at Dolphins training camp and may be fighting for a roster spot if things don’t improve. Observers say that Boston, trying to come back after missing the 2004 season with a torn patellar tendon, has shown glimpses of regaining his old form but much more often has looked stiff and slow. Boston also still appears to be too muscle-bound. Chris Chambers and Marty Booker are firmly entrenched as the team’s top two receivers, and Derrius Thompson is the team’s most consistent and reliable third receiver. That leaves Boston, RS Wes Welker and special-teams ace Bryan Gilmore to battle it out for the remaining WR spots. Word is Boston will get opportunities in the preseason to prove that he’s worthy of a roster spot despite not playing on special teams. Because he was signed to a veteran’s minimum contract, if he’s released, it won’t be a big burden on the Dolphins’ salary cap.

from the reports I've read Boston still seems to be working his way back. A few said he still had a slight limp from time to time.

I may not like the buy personally but I certainly hope he can regain his form he has early in his career. I don't know if he can but I also don't think he'll be cut. It's possible but he's signed so such a small contract this year that he'd have to stink it up pretty good to actually get cut.

I heard he is limping in practice, not a good sign. I think the reports are right, that he has done nothing to demonstrate he is one of the better WRs on the team. He should make the team, but if he falls to the 4th option I think you will see him develop a poor attitude.

Are you being seriuous?

Kolbiss, no just teasing. And I apologize, I thought you were full of it. I hadn't read/heard that.

there is NO WAY you cut a david boston who makes the veteran's minimun UNLESS he shows that his knees will keep him from being able to contribute.
