how tall is he though? i got the impression Holliday was a taller lankier guy who put on NFL weight...

hes 6'5" which is a good height for a nose tackle, just not a good size. hes gotta be atleast 320 and hes MAYBE around 300 n thats him on "NFL weight"... i dont know if he can really clog that hole.

NFL.com + espn have him listed @6'5"-290 but he played his 1st year in KC at 300. Hes always been a big dude

Please explain on why he's a bad pickup. He's being paid the minimum. The reward is much higher than the risk. We're also not depending on him to be the #1 receiver.

Hes being paid the minimum .. NOW.

When you first signed him it was a 5.35 million dollar contract. He also tested positive for steroids last year while injured. So he lost 1.34 million dollars of that 5.35. So even after testing positive for the roids, the Dolphins STILL re-signed him.

Plus, Boston is injury prone as I stated. In his entire career in the league hes only made it through one complete season as a starter. And in 2002 he missed half the year and last year he missed the entire season.

Sure youve got Chris Chambers and he can be a very good receiver at times. But last year he only caught 69 passes for 898 yards and 7 touchdowns. Lee Evans did that well and he was a rookie ..

Booker should help you guys out a lot, but other than that .. who do you have? Dont even SAY Derrius Thompson, the guy you Dolphins fans thought was amazing coming from Washington. Everyone tried to tell you he was trash, but you wouldnt believe it. The guy caught 23 passes last year ..

Plus, youve got no one to throw them the ball. Feeley was a bad pickup and Frerrote .. well .. lets just say theres a reason this is his 6th different NFL team. His most productive season as a QB had him throwing 17 TD's and 12 INT's. Hardly impressive. AJ Feeley .. really has done nothing. 11 TD's 15 INT's last year in 11 games. 8 starts.

Youve also still got Sage Rosenfels, but .. hes nothing more than a 3rd string QB anyways. Thats the thing about the Miami Dolphins. Theyve either got a running game, and no passing attack. Or a passing attack and no running game. And this year, it looks like you might have neither. Unless Ronnie Brown turns out to be some superstar. Which I dont exactly see happening.

I still hear that mumbling in the background, but I just can't make out what it is...

Hmmm...sounds like an idiot, but I'm not quite sure...

First off, It wasn't steroids. It was a banned substance. If caffeine was listed on the NFL list then any player drinking soda could be suspended. Secondly, his salary was NOT 5.35 million. I don't know where you got it from but it's wrong. His base salary was only 409,118. If you include his signing bonus then he barely earned $2 million last season.

Sure youve got Chris Chambers and he can be a very good receiver at times. But last year he only caught 69 passes for 898 yards and 7 touchdowns. Lee Evans did that well and he was a rookie ..

Last season Chambers was mediocre. Don't you think our whole team was LESS than mediocre including our QB?

Booker should help you guys out a lot, but other than that .. who do you have? Dont even SAY Derrius Thompson, the guy you Dolphins fans thought was amazing coming from Washington. Everyone tried to tell you he was trash, but you wouldnt believe it. The guy caught 23 passes last year ..

We have Boston. Our #4 WR will be Thompson.

AJ Feeley or Gus will be fine this season. Let's think real hard about why Feeley failed last season. We were one of the worst teams in the league. We had the worst offensive line. The worst running game. But yet you think Feeley would be impressive? Dan in his prime wouldn't have been able to suceed last season.

And this year, it looks like you might have neither. Unless Ronnie Brown turns out to be some superstar. Which I dont exactly see happening.

This post right here shows how much creditiblity you really have which is 0. I don't even need to explain why either.

Sure youve got Chris Chambers and he can be a very good receiver at times. But last year he only caught 69 passes for 898 yards and 7 touchdowns. Lee Evans did that well and he was a rookie .. Yeah, with the Quarterback running for his life, it's kind of hard to have a good passing game

Booker should help you guys out a lot, but other than that .. who do you have? We Have Boston! Please underestimate him, PLEASE! And then watch him BLOW UP this season. His troubles are over and his injury problem had more to do with weight, and he's trimmed down big time

Plus, youve got no one to throw them the ball. Feeley was a bad pickup and Frerrote .. well .. lets just say theres a reason this is his 6th different NFL team. Unless Ronnie Brown turns out to be some superstar. Which I dont exactly see happening.
<<< :rofl3: :rofl3:   That my friends is not even worth a response!!!!!! That is where your credibility on this thread went right down the drain!!!! Thanks for playing, we'll send you a home version of the game!

Well, before you start insulting people it would be advisable for you to get your own facts straight. Per NFL.com Boston was drafted in 1999. In 99, 00, 01 he played in all 16 games. He missed 8 games in 02 and 2 games in 03. Obviously, he missed all of the 04 season. As for whether or not he's a good pick up; you're being less clear the more you post. So are you saying that last year Boston was a bad pick up, but this year he's a good pick up? Initially, I understood you to say Boston was a bad signing, however in another post you alluded to re-signing him at vet minimum wasn't a bad thing?

It remains to be seen if his new slimmed down shape and new attitude will help him stay on the field. There is no doubt about his talent. The question is if he can remain injury free.

With the right attitude and the new offense, Boston and/or chambers could put up Moss type #'s easily. Boston is faster and bigger than Moss. Moss may have better 10-15 yard acceleration than Boston but I would not bet on it. Boston trains 4 times a day specifically for explosion and quick recovery and not for stamina. He has stated he would like to run 3 40+ yard routes at full speed even if as a decoy to soften up the underneath stuff, and the sit a few plays and do that all game long knowing w/his ability to recover from short burst will allow him to be 100% fresh in the 4th w/ a corner that may only be 70% trying to keep up w/ him and his 250+lbs at a 4.4 or better 40.
Ouch for the opposing dbs'. He an CC will be electric. RM will light things up as well. This will be a fun OFFENSE for a change!!!!!!

Oh where to begin.

ESPN.com says it was steroids. "http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1944718"

Also included in that link is where it tells his salary.

What makes you so positive AJ or Gus will be fine when neither have shown anything. Also, if you dont think Dan Marino would have done a hell of a lot better than 11 TD's and 15 INT's your nuts. I thought you Dolphins fans had a little more faith in him than that.

This post right here shows how much creditiblity you really have which is 0. I don't even need to explain why either.

So I have no credibility because I dont think Ronnie Brown is going to bust out for 1500 yards in his rookie season? Give me a break. I didnt say he was going to be a bust, I said he isnt going to be a superstar as a rookie. WOW. If you ask me, he wasnt even the best running back on his team.

Did I not say as a STARTER he has lasted one full season? In 2000 he made it all 16 games. In 2001 he started 15 games but PLAYED in 16. In 2002 8 games. In 2003 14 games and last year a whopping 0 games. Id also say I have the right to insult people who just post things like "DO YOU HEAR SOMETHING?" when I post.

And to the guy that just said Boston or Chamers could put up Moss type numbers. GET ... REAL ...

CC was in a run. run, run, run, run, run, short pass, run, run, run, run, under thrown pass, run.,run run....... offense. Randy freakin'Moss could not have caught 80 rec and 1000 yards at any point in the last 3 years w/ the Fins. JJ even has stated Moss would not have been the same player in the offense he Fins had.

Boston's injury may have had to do w/ weight, but not b/c he was to heavy or out of shape. Opposite actually, he was a ripped 257 lbs and Wanny made him lose like 25 lbs of muscle in a very short period of time. Ask any great wrestler that has cut a significant amount of weight that is not just blubber, and you will know that it is horrible for your body, so much so doctors were pushing for a safe policy that would keep people from cutting a significant amount in a short period of time. I knew a wrestler tat a doctor would not authorize a 4lb drop b/c he was already ripped and the doc felt it was not healthy.

Gus was awsome in this offense! He was only replaced by Pepp b/c he was a 100 mill dollar player. Gus ran the offense far better than Pepp w/ far less turnovers. Moss said he liked Ferotte's deep ball better than DC's. He also stated he thought they were better w/ Gus on the Field. I watched in horror(I hate the Vikes as much as I love the Fins) when Gus was running the Vikes'. I thought "here comes a Purple and Gold Super Bowl" If you ? Gus, watch the games he played in Minny!

Gus in 2002 with Minnesota ..

Started 2 games. Went 38 of 65. 7 touchdowns, 2 ints. Not bad, but it was 2 games. 2 games. Weve all seen what can happen when you base a quarterbacks performance on just a few games. IE: AJ Feeley, Rob Johnson.
