NFL Network analyst Brian Billick told the Miami Herald Thursday that he would be interested in the Dolphins' head-coaching vacancy if asked.

"Yeah," he said by phone. "The Dolphins are a marquee franchise. But at the end of the day, it's the structure of what they put together.
"It has to be a partnership between the head coach, general manager and ownership with a very specific vision. The Dolphins are probably a long way from formulating their plans."

"I told Carl I was going to make an effort to get back into the NFL, and left it at that," Schottenheimer said. "We haven't talked since. Notwithstanding the fact I'm 68, my energy level is very, very high, and I have the same drive and motivation I've always had."I think the Dolphins are a good football team," he added, "one that's got some players who have a chance to step up and make things happen in a positive way." Marty Schottenheimer

I wouldn't mind either one of these guys!

Thats what i dont get. It appears miami wants young hungry coach. But really not even an interview? I mean both these guys are worth a look.

I dont even think the Fins management know what the Hell they want... They dont really seem like they have a vision...

HIRE BRIAN F. BILLICK...

How do hire Kevin Gilbride or a special teams coach over Marty or Brian F. Billick.

Would take either one and believe it would be a better choice then Fisher.

Yes and yes. Both of them >>>>>> fisher

All credentials aside, just the fact that they WANT to be here makes them better candidates than Fisher.. Its a freaking blessing that Fisher chose the Rams.. Thank god!

Overpaying mediocre coach who has no interest in your team <<<<< Paying a coach who has a fire to get back into coaching and goes out of his way to show major interest in your organization

Not to mention the two seasons he went 13-3, he went one and done in the playoffs [i think] both years

They're both solid backup plans we could ride with if we can't grab an up and comer that we like. They're not on my 'A' list.
