Not bad! If they can stay healthy, they should continue to improve as well.....
 
nfl.com daytona. i cant remember the last time both units were ranked in the top 10...i really cant.
 
Not for long. The pats put up 398 today and will be about a yard ahead of us which will knock us back to 11th. They are averaging 366.9 and we are at 365.8. It takes about two hours for them to update them.

However it is possible that we could move BACK into the top 10 by moving past the Raven if the steelers hold them to under 288 yards tonight. Right now they have already played 8 games and are averaging 375.5 yard per game, which = 3004 yards. If they get 288 yards tonight they will have 3292 for the year which divided by 9 will = 365.7 per game. We are averaging 365.8.

If you are watching the game though I think we are supposed to be pulling for the ravens. The Steelers have a better conference record and we get to play the ravens. So if we beat the ravens we will need pitt to lose so I think we are supposed to pull for the ravens.

And as I say that the ravens just scored.

We are 4th in scoring defense and 8th in scoring offense. Very good through 8 games
 
We shut it down in the 3rd Quarter twice this year, once vs Oakland and again today. We would have over 40 points in each of those games if we didn't shut it down. We are playing well at the right time to make a difference this year. Next week is a really big test taking on Detroit following there Bye week. We had SD on 10 days rest. The season will have a few more L's but we are going in the right direction to be a team to be reckoned with.

It doesn't if you back all the way out every time. Something that annoys me about that site but if you back out to teams stats and reload it every time it puts them in correct order.
 
We are also in the top 10 in both pts per game at 26.3 (7th) and pts given up at 18.9 (4th). There was only one team in the league that was in top 10 in scoring, scoring defense, yards, and defensive yards coming in to this week. That was the Broncos. If Pitt holds the ravens under 288 we will be the there as well.
