Both PFT Writers pick Bills over Dolphins

Dolphins at Bills

MDS’s take: No team surprised me more in Week One than the Bills, who look like they’ve developed an offense that takes advantage of EJ Manuel’s strengths and a defense that has talent all over the field. Buffalo might just be a playoff team. Who saw that coming?

MDS’s pick: Bills 24, Dolphins 20.

Florio’s take: Both teams were surprise winners in Week One. The Bills are riding a rare wave of euphoria, with the team likely not moving for a long time, if ever. If they can do what they did to the Bears in Chicago, they can find a way to hold serve at home against a division rival.

Florio’s pick: Bills 24, Dolphins 20.

You could've inserted Miami in both of those comments

Ryan Tannehill > Bills QB's
Matt Moore > Bills QB
Not even close

While like I being underdogs, I put this in the win column in the beginning of the season based on that while I considered Buffalo a improved franchise this year we should be improved ourselves as well and felt we were a better team than the Bills last year regardless of getting ourselves spanked. Coaching of course can prove anyone wrong and after the Pats game I still feel we have better personel and a bit more convinced our coaching is as good or better than theirs.

Jackson is an old man. Spiller s a good player, but he is not an every down back like Moreno.

What does that have to do with what we were talking about?

PS, Jackson being an old man has nothing to do with his ability to play. Clearly evidenced by last week.

Buffalo is ranked 26th in defense this season
Miami is ranked 8
Not sure how these Bills fans can come here with their paper bags puffed out.

Take away the Jackson 38 yard run, he averaged 3.8 per carry. Spiller 3.6...against Chicago.

Who is?

I've said multiple times I expect the Bills to lose.

Are we talking about your scrub QB, or your average RB's?

Finally...a sensible Bills fan.
The biggest change in Miami since last year is not the players..it is the scheme. This is a different offense under Lazor.
I hope they light it up again. We could have put 50 up against the Pats, but we shot ourselves in the foot too many times.

Bills at Bears

MDS’s take: In Marc Trestman’s second year as head coach, the Bears will have one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses. The Bills just won’t be able to keep up.

MDS’s pick: Bears 31, Bills 13.

Florio’s take: EJ Manuel won’t be wearing a “C” on his jersey. But he will be wearing a Jared Allen.

Florio’s pick: Bears 28, Bills 13.

Patriots at Dolphins

MDS’s take: We’ve heard a lot about how the Dolphins have changed their offense to run at a faster pace, but I just don’t think Miami has the personnel to match up with New England, which remains the best team in the AFC East.

MDS’s pick: Patriots 24, Dolphins 10.

Florio’s take: With a much better defense and a still-potent offense, the Patriots launch the 10-year anniversary of their last Super Bowl-winning season with a performance that could put them back there, again.

Florio’s pick: Patriots 34, Dolphins 24.

Whoops.
