Our DB's are playing pitifully.

Two awful penalties (We were able to escape the Lehan one without giving up points - but, it still gave the Steelers the football for a long time and killed any momentum we had built up on offense).

Bad coverage on Hines Ward TD.

A blown coverage on the Heath Miller play.

I don't think they are playing smart or making big plays. There were times when every part of the D broke down. But, there were no big plays from the DB's - whereas at least the DL and LB's made some big plays.

Yes, people will talk about the INT's by Daunte, but, that's not what ultimately lost the game; although we would have much better chances had he understood what Pittsburgh was doing.

I think we'll get better, as time goes on. But, there's a lot of work to do.

Agreed. 2 biggest plays of the game: penalty on Lehan, blown coverage on Miller.

RELEASE Michael Lehan.

He will never be forgiven for that dumb holding on 3rd & 16.

Renaldo Hill SUCKS too. I hope people don't blame Daunte, fully.

Daunte tried to make too much happen, but he was put in that position by the d's secondary. We gave up too many 3'rd down plays! I am just glad we have 3 not as hard games lined up to make the adjustments needed.

The offensive line sucked tonight too. They could not block anybody tonight

I think they were confused by Pittsburgh. It's not the first OL that the Steelers have done that to. They are the best Blitz team in the league - there's a reason they've been called "Blitzburgh."

But, that's not to excuse the OL. I would hope for two things:

1) That Capers and Saban would learn from the Steelers packages (though we have no one like Polamalu and Porter - two greats).

2) That the OL would improve like they did last year. They were pretty awful the first several games last year and gradually became a solid line. Hopefully they can learn how to block and play as a unit a bit sooner.

We knew the secondary was a work in progress. I'm pretty dissapointed by their play in this game but I remain optimistic that Daniel's return and jason Allen making a contribution will settle the secondary down.

this is no chemistry yet between these guys. the pass rush really didn't help either. these dbacks are 2nd rate players guys. were 2 years away. i think they will get better but charlie batch, please.

I dont get why everyone is on Culpeppers case so much. Our running game was useless and he pretty much carried our team the whole night. His line did not protect him at all tonight.
I blame the corners and the offensive line for this loss. My Jet fan friends warned me that the secondary would be Miami's downfall...hoooooo boy were they right

I also shudder to think what will happen against our secondary when someone like Manning plays us (hopefully) in the playoffs. Charlie Batch SHREDDED us out there and to be honest he looked lost a lot tonight. Horrific secondary play tonight. Get Jason Allen out there.

The offense is still building chemistry, i was impresses with culpepper and the recievers before it came down to crunch time. the o-line will improve and sop will Ronnies game. The secondary just needs to step up and i believe they will.

Was it Zach Thomas who got burned by Miller on the 80 yard TD?

The Dolphins D made Batch look like a superstar. Its also a slow and old defense. Heath Miller isn't the fastest guy in the world and he outran most of the defense. That was sickening.

The O line didn't create one hole for Ronnie to hit tonight. I know Pittsburgh is one of the best zone blitz defense's in the league, and one of the best defensive schemes, however the performance and lack of execution was a disaster tonight. I was expecting a better defensive scheme from Capers than what they showed tonight, and more agressive play from the corners.

The zone coverage scheme is what has to go, and never be used again. The corners did not challenge anybody, didn't cover anybody, they sat back and released the receivers to the safety's, and Batch and company just kept hitting the 10 - 15 yard passes between the coverage all night long.

How the hell does any corner back release the opposing teams number 1 receiver inside the 10 yard line, and allow him to roam free to the back of the end zone, that was horrible in my opinion

They made Batch look like an all star.
