In spite of the countless posts, analysis, opinions, problems, GM, Coaches, and players, there is only one reason for the horrible feeling we all have at this point in time. Tannehill could not get it done vs the Jets, at home, in the biggest game of his very short career.

Forget everything else. We beat four playoff team with all the same problems, and IMO would have beaten Cinci IF we won that one game. I cannot rip Tannehill, as he is the main reason we beat those four playoff teams but, he came up way short to take us to the next level this past season, and I do still believe in him.

Say what you will on all the other reasons or excuses BUT, IF we win that one game, nothing else would have mattered until we lost, and went back to try to improve this off season in order to take the next step. JMO

lets overpay for Jimmy Graham. Im all for it! Whatever it takes to get that guy back home and away from the cap hell saints!

He didnt play well, but i didnt realize he was the only player on the field for the Dolphins? I guess the defense who let one of if not the worst QB in the NFL go up and down the field on them, or how about we make the playoffs if the defense can get 1 stop on 4th and 10 vs the Panthers? I guess that game was on Thill 2.

Point is the QBs get 2 much credit when they win and 2 much flack when they lose, perfect example is the new golden boy Andrew Luck, everyone talks about his big come from behind victory and that he has X number of come from behind wins..... but do they ever talk about how you end up having to come from behind? A large reason the Colts were behind was thanks to Lucks 3 INT's, missing open WRs and so on, but everyone wipes that from their memory because the chiefs chocked up the biggest lead in playoff history

its all about perspective, the media and fans myself just as guilty have made the QB end all be all, like you mentioned Tannehill "beat 4 playoff teams" yes and no, he played well, BUT WRs have to make catches, the oline has to block well, the defense made big stops in those games, its a team game and the team wins or loses not just the QB

I like RT as much or more than anyone on this forum but, for that one game, where he had to put this team on his back, he was horrible. I guarantee that he is thinking the same, and will learn and grow from it.

My point is simple. IF we win that game, none of all the other problems would matter. We would all be "Happy Campers." :)

My point was simple as well, if the great dolphins D makes a 4th and 10 stop vs the Panthers they win and the Jets game is likely meaningless....

Again, no explanation for how horrible the D was against a horrific geno smith? how about a turnover? maybe some QB pressure? a sack? forced fumble? get off the field on 3rd down?

Yes Tannehill played bad, did not look himself, did not seem to be stepping into throws and was sailing them high, could it have been from his knee injury in the buffalo game? sure, does that totally excuse his play, absolutely not....but what was the defenses excuse for making geno smith look like an actual nfl qb?

I completely get what you are saying, and agree to a point. The D was pretty good in giving up 20 with 3 picks. Tanny needed to step it up in this game, and came up empty.

IF he would have, no one is talking about the GM, coaches, players, sacks, run D, running game, etc. At least no yet. :)

What exactly is new information in your post? The entire team lost the game. He sucked, they sucked. We know this.

My apology for overstating the obvious as I know it is seldom done on this forum. However, that one game changes every opinion and post made here since the loss, and everything posted seems somewhat trivial over just the result of one game, IF you look at it that way.

i agree but AGAIN, you can just as easily say the same thing if the D makes that 4th and 10 stop vs the Panthers....

Not quite. The home game vs the Jets was defined as a must win, with a ton of pressure to go to the playoffs. It is different that what coulda happened earlier in the year.

Tannehill averages 3.5 points per game in week 17.

Why is that AD?

2nd biggest lead in playoff history. the "run and shoot" Oilers coughed up a 2nd half 35-3 lead to the Bills. we hosted the winner in the AFC title game - I'll never forget it - cause I was sure we were getting the Oilers who we matched up well against - and who stunk on grass. Then Frank Reich of all people leads the biggest comeback / Warren Moon leads the biggest choke and our AFC crown hopes went up in flames...

We can change GM, Head Coach, OC, DC, Offensive Line coach, mascot, but none of that is going to make much of a difference until we change the most important piece --Quarterback. Just being real. Don't believe me, look what Pennington did with a worse team than this. (And sorry, no, it wasn't the wildcat that turned us around from 1-15 to 11-5, get real).
