Finally, I can watch some football with having a commentator or any other football analyst sucking up to the colts...

It was getting ridiculous, just about every NFL tv show i watch they would have to bring it up...Take NFL Total Access for example, I was starting to hate to see "Chasing perfection" and having to watch Mo Collins' big @$$ talk about how his prediction would come true after he stated that "if the Colts beat the Patriots, they will go undefeated"....well, how do you like the Colts now Mr. Collins???? :sidelol:

And it's funny how the commentators of the game ended up eating some crow after stating "these are the Colts we're use to seeing", after they began to drive down field for the first time....

So much for jocking the Colts now....

Nothing against the colts, but this is how sick and tired I was of seeing the media practically worship the Colts...They made it seem as if they were already undefeated....

The Media had it out for us...they want to see the 72 Phins in agony...

Sandy-eggo Supa Chajes, Sandy-eggo Supa Chajes.....

yeah cuz if we would have made it, we would have beaten those colts

get over it bro. be glad we didn't make the playoffs and suffer an embarassment like we did in 99 vs the jags.

i agree. to them it's already "fait accompli" that the colts have won it all this year. i hope they maybe slow down and consider some other teams now. i mean, how many big games has manning won? dungy? let's all repeat this answer a few times... now why is it again they're assuming they've already won it all?

holy crap, that's the worst statement I've ever heard from a "fan".

Hey, why should we be surprised by the media tripping over their jock straps to jump on a band wagon? They've been doing it for the last few years with the Patsies. Ever since that fumble errrr I mean incomplete pass against the Raiders in the AFC championship a few years ago. Brady (Wonder Boy) can do no wrong. That was a fumble no matter how you slice it.

Well, I wasn't happy about that at all, but I figured we didn't control our own destiny....and I've always said, if you don't go into the playoffs controlling your own destiny, then you don't deserve to go....plain and simple

Don't get me wrong, I would've love to see our team in the playoffs even if we were backed in...but that was just hoping for help...I would much rather the Colts NOT go undefeated, then hope for a longshot and hope we get backed in to the playoffs...

whoa, the media was wrong about something they hyped up????? let's start a thread for it

Actually, your statement is worse...

especially coming from a "fan" who still has a joint next to Ricky in his avatar....

:shakeno:

gotta love the faith some people have in their fans. "who cares about going to the playoffs, we would lose anyway." that's just an excuse to try and back up your reasoning for wanting the colts to lose, but it just makes you sound like a worse fan

sarcasm.......look it up.

As for the Ricky thing, it's funny IMO. I never had a problem that he smoked weed.....so it's not like I'm ragging on him by having it there.

what we "want" as fans is totally irrelevant to the outcome of any game. nobody affected the outcome of the chargers-colts game. a lot of us didn't even watch it, since it was on at the same time as the phins game. the probability of a trip to the playoffs this year was ridiculously low. i have chosen to look on the bright side of elimination, since i thought the phins were officially eliminated when new england won anyway. it wasn't until i was watching the game vs. the jets that i understood the phins were still in it, though barely. this gave me mixed emotions about the colts-chargers game, but i was ultimately happy with the outcome. i don't want to see another undefeated team and i would like to see the chargers make the playoffs. no, i don't want the chargers to make it at the expense of the dolphins, but a playoff trip this year would have required several highly unlikely collapses at once, not just the chargers. it would have been like winning the lottery. and i don't spend a lot of time bummed out every time i don't win the lottery.

Since the colts left the AFC east, they have been my 2nd or 3rd favorite team. I like Dungy, and I like Manning. I think they are both great at what they do, and they handle themselves with lots of class. I'm glad they are doing so well this year, and I hope they win the SB.

But, I am glad they didn't go undefeated for obvious reasons.

Yeah it was getting really old that they were obsessing over the colts and this undefeated season. yes it would be amazing for them to do but it's not something that needs to be talked about with every breathe.

btw, the media is still going to hype up the colts. and if they don't, they'll move on to another team. notice they haven't talked about the patriots in a while (not since the bucs win), and yet everyone thought they had a hardon for them or something. they really don't care WHO is a big story, they just want someone to be it so they can hype them up. if the dolphins were 13-0, they'd treat them like the colts
