BP Cool on Jason Taylor's Future

Taylor is going to have to want to come back. The front office is not going to kiss his *** and bend over backwards.

With that said I would hope they can agree on some sort of one or two year contract beneficial to both sides.

I think Porter's inevitable release opens the door wide for a Taylor return... Kiss his ***? The man played for WAY below market value... if he agrees to do the same again, he is definitely a Phin...

yeah because the market for an old Lb who cant cover and isn't great at run stopping is so high

Yes I know he did and I hope he doesn't take a hard stance now and say "I paid my dues, so pay up". That is what I meant when I said kiss his ***.

The terms on both sides need to be realistic and not one sided either way.

Q: What are the odds Jason Taylor will remain with the Dolphins? Also do you like working with Stephen Ross?

A: Vinnie, the first part: I do like working with Stephen Ross. I don't know the answer to the Taylor question at this moment. He's a free agent as of March 5 and we haven't discussed it yet. We'll see where that goes when the time comes.

When you read the actual Q&A it doesn't sound as omnious as PFT makes it out. Sounds more like an honest answer. "Don't know, we haven't discussed it yet but we have until March 5th"

JT left $7mil of guaranteed money on the table to come play with the Fins.... All he had to do was participate in the Skins off-season program. He declined because he wanted to come home...

Despite the romanticism of the last post... you are absolutely correct.. will taht desire prevent him from a market that will pay him a lot more than Miami's eventual offer? Or, from someone who lives a baseball throw from DC, was the soul crush of being a member of Snyder's Redskins just more tha he could bear...?
