I have been a die hard Dolphins fan since I was in the 6th grade and I'm 49 now, and I am seriously thinking about moving on.

I am so tired of this year in and year out. This guy could have been had in the 2nd round easily if not the 3rd. He was projected as a 3rd or 4th round pick but had a good work out and got moved up to a late 2nd or 3rd.

There is no way he was the BPA by a long shot, let alone even at his position. I'm so tired of paying way to much for players, giving up way to much for players and getting rid of them at bargain rates.

Drafting nothing but linemen, LB's and DB's and passing on players that put the points on the scoreboard.

Unless we make a move to get up on the board tomorrow and get us a WR I think I may be packing up all my Dolphin gear and pick a team that is actually exciting to watch and root for. That wants to create an exciting team for their fans to watch and be proud of.

Who would you have drafted?

Edit: Agree Lee2000, McShay sucks (just had to insert that :D) and though I liked the Dion Jordan pick and think he's awesome player, we need to get this line issue settled. Not ready for trading up or back and seeing guys we need picked then having to resign Clabo for 2 year extension. If guy is starting day one, its a winner. If he is riding the pine like certain mid round bargains we have picked for the line in recent years, I'm pissed.

I like James and think he is a fit. The BPA guys were Cooks, Clinton-Dix. Not a lot of other guys. McShay had James in top 20.

Every GM will say that they chose BPA, but they generally select according to need. We had a gaping hole on the O-line and we have selected a player who is a specialist RT, fits the ZBS and they obviously really like him. I'm totally comfortable with the pick, but lets not try to insult our collective intelligence by selling the pick as BPA.

filled our biggest need at RT, didnt get a LT that would have to be moved and adapt. Day 1 starter for the team.

Should they have drafted a WR that will sit on the bench as our #5 receiver or #5 at best? or maybe a LB and throw 6 million or so dollars in cap space out the door?

BPA is flawed because you need a spot for a guy to go, need isnt because you fill the weaknesses of the team.

LOVE this pick!!

I have read and seen a lot of bickering but other than the Manziel love children I have yet to see anyone have a consensus player we should have selected at 19 other than trade back. I didn't see any other teams reaching for a Guard in the 1st round so the XSF believers have no leg to stand on, he might be around at 50.

In my opinion James was the BPA on the Dolphins board. We have known he had a first round grade all along from us and likely from other teams. The obvious impact selections didn't fall like we all hoped. Shazier and Mosley were obviously on our radar but those damn AFC North teams ruined those plans. Fill the need with the 1st round natural talent RT and move on.

Show me where he was projected in the 3rd or 4th round. Not that he's the end-all be-all at mock drafts but Kiper had the Dolphins pick 100% correct.

You also mention the Dolphins passed on players who put points on the scoreboard. Which player was it they passed on?

If I had to take a Tackle it would have been Moses. Me personally I would have moved up and got Watkins, or Evans. If I did not move up I would have taken Cooks, Robinson, or Benjamin. If taking BPA it would have been a lot of other players that would be to many to list.

Please show me a mock with James in the 3rd or 4th.

Are you kidding me? Did you not see what the Jills had to pay to move up from pick NINE? The thought of what we would've had to give up to move up from 19 gives me chills...

Teams who reach for needs in the premium rounds (1-3) never win jack **** in this league. And the Dolphins did that tonight.

Heck I would have even been happy with Safirin-Jenkins, Benjamin, or going with OL it would have been Moses, or Su'a Filo,

Wasn't a Mock draft, but rather player rankings, player grading, and projections.

so San Fran is gonna be bad this year you say? The Pats too?

Seattle drafted Bruce Irvin in the middle of the first round just two years ago. Dude was a third rounder on many boards.

Problem with Miami hasn't even been the first round picks, it's the middle rounds that have plagued us. Jack **** from rounds 2 to 4 since the Parcells era began (and even before).

I'm glad Miami addressed the RT . . . we've dumped enough money and resources into this oline . . . if Hickey can fix it this offseason, he will have done a masterful job.

The problem with a lot of people this board, and on FB as I just saw a Finheaven post "This is our year." Our year for what, the Superbowl?

I mean seriously...

Lower your expectations, when the team has success then set the bar .

I look at our team being as good as their previous record until they show otherwise.
