Here is a report from Tom Curan of ProFootballTalk.com about how Brady looks to be a little gun shy while under pressure in the pocket.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/

"Also noteworthy was the fact that, on two other plays with modest pressure, Brady (four for eight for 57 yards in three series) didn't aggressively step through his deliveries and balls sailed incomplete. That will bear watching as the preseason continues."

Looks like Tommy Boy is a little more worried about his knee then he is letting on to the media. I can definitely see him struggling at the beginning of the year ala Carson Palmer.

(I know this probably belongs in the NFL Forum thread but I can bet alot of us aren't looking there for much info right now so I thought I would try and put it here.)

Blitz, blitz, blitz, blitz!!!

Not so sure it's really his knee. We all know how he folds under pressure in the pocket. Just ask Jason Taylor or the Giants defense. His knee might just make it worse.

Words can't describe how amazing it would be if the Pats' line doesn't hold up like it used to this season.

dude like my friends and i always said, anyone can deliver a pretty good pass with proper protection. when he gets any kind of pressure he freaks out and jitters around like a girl

He looked very hesitant and his o-line seamed to brake down numerous times on him tonight. I also am very unimpressed with Fred Taylor. Why did the team with the 2nd most injuries at RB last season (Denver being number 1) sign an aged, washed up, injury prone Fred Taylor? Thats makes zero sense to me.

Cedric the entertainer actually looked very good tonight...i hope he has a productive season.

The Pats D is going to be so weak this season...people don't realize yet.

Their Secondary is so bad. Bodden was cut by an 0-16 team...if that's not a red flag i have no idea what is. Shawn Springs is old and extremely injury prone......and also was only brought in to try to show down TO when they play the Jills. Sanders is solid but no spectacular. And Merriweather is extremely undisciplined from what i have seen so far through out his career. Darius Butler will be good in the future however he is still too raw to start week one...in my opinion. Adalius has extremely underachived in my opinion throught his tenur in NE. Mayo is a beast. Burgess has declined at a rapid rate....yes he played in Oakland...but now he has to adjust to a 3-4 scheme in a very short time frame. Brushi, Guyton, and Pierre Woods are all rople playing nobody's. Their D-line remains thier bread and butter...

Just full of 'facts', aren't you?

Springs was signed before TO was even a thought in the Bills minds.

Bodden was a salary cap cut, not for lack of talent.

If you think the Pats secondary is bad, I can't imagine what you think of the Fins. Good lb's, not much else on D to brag about.

Burgess has played in a 3-4, mostly in his most productive years. The Pats will also be playing a lot more 4-3 this season to take advantage of Mayo's talents.

Merriweather is becoming a force to be reckoned with. He's going to get some sacks this year - great instincts for disguising the rush. Guess we'll have to wait & see who's right there.

The only disappointment I've seen to date is Wheatley. He gets beaten like a drum. Thankfully, he won't be a starter, and likely will be the 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench, with Springs, Butler, Bodden, & Wilhite well ahead of him.

Thomas has been less dominant than I expected. Some of that due to playing MLB his first season and being injured too often. He was on course for a great season before breaking his arm last year.

Agreed on Bruschi & Woods. Not so much on Guyton. One reason they will go 4-3 more, along with their depth on the DL. Both Brace & Pryor look like the real deal, and should help in the DL rotation.

I hate opinions that have no factual basis to them.

One thing that has interested me is the pats running so much 4-3. I don't believe it's to maximize Mayos talents when you have the best NT in the game. I think it is due to the lack of passrush from the LB spot.

I really like the springs was brought in to counter TO comment...do your homework before you post completely untrue statements and make the rest of us look like idiots.

IMO the Pats will be in the business of outscoring people a lot more. I don't think their D is bad, just not that great. If Brady regains his form, they are still a hard team to beat....but remind me more of Indy from the past few years than the recent Pats teams.

Burgess played De in Oakland...he now has to adjust to playing WOLB in NE....that adjustment will take time and time you dont have.....

Bodden got beat by an old women with a stick all year long. I think he has good size and talent. And he was a salary cap casualty...however if he was pro bowl caliber like many pats fans are making him out to be Detroit would have kept him with his heavy back loaded contract. No team can ever have enough corners.

From what i have seen i have been unimpressed with Merriweather. Thats just my opinion. Hes good in run support but i doubt his ability in coverage. Hes almost like a poor mans Rodney Harrison who cant hit as hard and who has less instinct.

Springs will get hurt. It happens every year. Just like Fred Taylor will be hurt at one point during the season. Butler has great Fluidity in the hips.....and Phenom instincts....i believe hes still too raw to start like i previously stated.

We agree on Thomas. lol. If i was a Pats fan i would be extremely let down.

Brace is going to be a good player...good enough that Wilfork is gonna walk next free agency. It will be interesting watching you guys run the 4-3 more.....however i think you lack the personal at de...but thats just me........

Now on the Dolphins Defense:

Our secondary will be much better than yours for a few reasons. 1 - We have a proven and solidified #1 corner in Will Allen. He has played great these past two season and was rewarded with a contract extension in the off season. 2- We have two NASTY safety's. Yerimiah Bell and Gibril Wilson are very interchangeable. Then both are physical freaks and are going to punish people all year long. 3 - The emergence of Sean Smith. Yes Smith is a rookie but he has impressed in a big way. He is also a FREAK standing at 6-3 218. This guy is going to be very special. And he is going to get his chance right off the bat. Our nickel guy is Nathan Jones. He is a great role playing CB. He blitzes extremely well and can match up with guys in the slot like Welker and others. We Also have Vontae who i see splitting time at Nickle with Jones. Then when we go Dime my homie Tyrone Culver comes in. This kid impressed last season and was also rewarded with a contract extension. Then at the end we have Joey Thomas and Jason Allen fighting for that last CB spot...of and will billingsley.

Our LB's as a whole our better than yours....and that is not debatable. Channing and Akin in the Middle as a duo are better than Mayo and Guyton...even though Mayo may be the superior player. Joey and Jason will be relentless at getting pressure on the QB this year...something the Pats are going to have trouble with. Lacking a Pass rushing specialist. The dolphins have 3....including Cam Wake who is a raw talent. On running downs we will have Matt Roth in at SOLB to set the edge of the defense. We have great Depth with Reggie Torbor and Charlie Anderson and Erik Walden.\

Your D-line is better. Wilfork is the back bone of your defense. He very good and you have good depth there. Seymour and Warren are very good 3-4 De's. Our d-line is very young outside of ferg. Our front office loves Ferg. He plays much bigger than he is and he is no pushover as a NT in the 3-4. He is our back bone without a doubt. Solia his backup is shaky...so the jury is still out on him at this point. Kendal Langford a third round pick out of Hampton a year ago started every game at DE his rookie season. This guy is gonna be a good player for a long time in the league. The other de spot is occupied by Randy Starks and Phillip Merling. Starks i am assuming is going to start week one. He is a young and talented player. He picked off Cassel on a screen pass a year ago if you remember. We also have Tony McDaniel and Lionel Dotson to rotate and they noth are YOUNG and talented players.

All in Aall:

IN my opinion you guys win at D-line. However i give us the edge at LB and Secondary for the sheer fact that we have more talent at CB and S and at WOLB.

OK dude your turn. lol

IM sorry they were brought in at very close intervals. Also Springs has a history of giving TO trouble. So in actuality the thought process behind my idea is actually accurate. I just got my time table mixed up. Im human.

If you actually know the game you will realize that i am very on target with my post outside of the timetable for the TO-Springs situation. But i like dues like you. You sit back and reiterate something i have heard 35 times this past week. "The Pats are going to have to outscore people this year" " There still gonna be a hard team to beat if Brady is not bothered by his knee" and so on and blah blah. Why don't you incite some new information instead of sprouting off something that has probably been said 100,000 times? Or is that all you know? I wouldn't doubt it. but hey...thats just my OPINION!

We'll have to see how Bodden works out. From the early reesults, he's very comfortable in the pats system, having played in the same/similar system under Crennel in Cleveland. The Lions make any player look bad.

I see Wilhite & Bodden as the two starters going into the season, unless Springs gets more time in practice. Butler looks like he's for real and may get a lot more time than a rook usually would with the Pats.

Same with Chung. I really hope he replaces Sanders, who I think is a touchdown waiting to happen. I believe he's the biggest problem they have in the secondary this season.

I think we will see more 4-3 because it, a) takes advantage of their depth on the DL, and, b) fits the skill sets of the LB's, with Mayo in the middle, and Thomas & Burgess on the outside. One thing I like about that is BB is allowing the DLine to be more aggressive and get after the ball. With Wilfork & Seymour in contract years, they're itching to get some tv time and up their values. So far, they've had success in getting in the backfield and pressuring the qb. Nice to see after all these years of watching them hold the line.

Easy killer, no need to get all upset about being wrong, it happens.

Speaking of things being said 100,000 times...not 1 thing in your post is news to anyone who follows this team, or the AFC East...this whole forum is littered with 25 threads about the same crap. There is absolutely nothing new to talk about until some real games are played.

Too bad Bodden signed a one-year deal this year with y'all......
