I watched a little of the irish game on sat. and he look pretty damn good but i just watched a couple quarters

He is really good, but he won't be in the NFL until '07 if that's where you are going.

I hate Notre Dame. How were they rated so high last week when they lost to MSU at home the week before. They have always been overrated and they always will be.

just my opinion but I think the same thing goes for Quinn. Against MSU the Michagan QB impressed me more than Quinn did, yet all the announcers pointed out was Quinns play almost subconsciously making you think he is better. Last game against Washington, I don't think their QB was supposed to be anything special but he was under more pressure than Quinn the entire game and had less options. I thought he also looked better both physically and the decisions he made.

Quinn may be good enough to play backup in the NFL but I just can't see him being anything more than bench material. It also helps when you have Weis as your HC though so who knows.

As stated above, Quinn is a junior and not the type of elite prospect who will turn pro early. So I haven't really focused on him much. He started from fairly early in his freshman year and doesn't have any huge negatives like elongated delivery or a weak arm. You would think he'll get excellent coaching from Weiss and Co. and be an advanced college QB next year.

Because it was a close game & Michigan State is a top 15 team, that's how.

I dont know after 2 years under Weiss this guy could be a really high draft pick. He already looks a lot better. Never been a ND fan but Weiss really seems to be a godsend to that school. We probaly have no shot at him in 07, could be wrong though.

He is a Junior, but he could declare and come out early. I think he throws a very good ball, he is smart......and like a fellow Fighting Irish QB not highly touted. Can you say Montana????

Time an again he seems to have the "intangibles". Place him in the right system and he does very little to put his team in bad situations. More importantly he does a lot right on each play to put his team is good situations.

This weekend is a great game to watch as a FIN fan.....USC vs. Notre Dame.

Matt Leinart vs. Brady Quinn.....

this is a very very ridiculous post in many ways

Your thoughts.....i do look forward to the USC vs. Notre Dame game this weekend.

Leinart and Quinn to watch and compare should be great.

I actually thought he made some salient points. I disagree about the Irish being overrated....Weis has made a big difference, although the win against Michigan doesn't look nearly as good as it did now.

Quinn is efficient. Solid player. Weis will be the making of him if he's good enough. Average arm, but can be surgical in his picking apart of defences. Doesn't react too well to pressure, can move round the pocket. System QB...needs to get in a rhythm. In a way he's like Andrew Zow the old Alabama QB. Sometimes when he was on, he was really on. Next week, he'd be so off as to be untrue. Needs to up the consistency a little.

i pretty much ignored his comments on quinn because he clearly hates notre dame, so of course he's going to not like quinn

The way he's playing, I think Quinn could be the top pick of the 2007 draft. I guess he could come out early, but I don't think he will.
