I sincerely expect him to get off today, but that's another topic. Since his suspension doesn't come while we were scheduled to play them, how much does that affect our playoff chances?

They just made another court date today, I've heard.

Either way, we gotta do work so I'd say it minimally impacts our chances at playoffs.

Zero effect on us. Remember they went 11-5 without Brady for an entire season in 2008.

Also, has to be concern to #NFL Judge Berman didn't seem to buy that Wells could solidly be termed as "independent" investigator. #Patriots

#NFL has to be concerned Judge Berman raised so many questions about Wells failing to link #Patriots Brady to deflation w/ direct evidence

I wouldn't count on anything just yet..

That was against an absurdly easy schedule. The Dolphins, Bills and Jets defenses are going to give the Pats all they can handle in 6 games. I believe they play only at Buffalo those first 4 games so there fortunate there.

That said I expect Brady's suspension to be lifted.

One thing I dont get is how the hell is the NFL supposed to get evidence for a court of law when they dont have the power to access the actual evidence... I mean of course there`s no evidence, they ****ing destroyed it...

Pats SUCK. Total fraud franchise. Brady girl lives in an artificial world with a moat around the house and the belief that he's ENTITLED to cheat etc. with no accountability and consequence.

Severely damages the already tarnished image of the National Fixed League and their overwhelming concern with PR and Profits.

I wouldn't worry about any of that, NFL won't budge on a settlement and the judge is pushing hard to get them to.

Deflate gate isn't on trial here, it's the procedure of the investigation and the suspension that is. The NFLPA lawyer basically admitted that Brady didn't fully cooperate by blaming Bradys agent for bad advice.

Won't matter, he didn't cooperate, Goodell can punish as he wants. And my guess is the last thing Brady wants to do is have to take the stand.

NE's first four games: vs. PIT, at BUF, vs. JAX, at DAL. Without him I could see NE going 2-2 or 1-3. If he plays from Week 1, I could still see a 2-2 record and perhaps 3-1/

It all depends on if Miami can start hot.

I think he probably just gets fined also, but that wasn't the Pats biggest issue anyway IMO...

Garoppolo had played well every time I've seen him so far, & Billichick is the master of game planning against specific opponents.

They lost both their starting corners and a number of players on defense. I don't think they are the same team that won last year even with Brady starting.

The problem is all of this negative press is what they love over there.

Worst case I see the Dolphins finishing 2nd in the AFC East, best case this is the year we catch up to them finally & over take them.

The Brady saga doesn't play into this, we will see him twice anyway unless he gets injured no matter what the ruling

I see. So now Wells "independence" is being questioned. But when he **** on us for "bullygate" it was legit. Whatever! **** Wells and brady!

That was my understanding as well... will see who knows what happens in the end. I just won't count on him being suspended until its done is all.

All that matters for our playoff chances are, are we as good as we think we can be? That's it. Beat everyone in front of us settles it all. If he is suspended I do believe it helps a ton. They will be 1-3 with Jimmy starting.

Write it down: NE goes 3-1 w Garraffalo should the suspension stand. If they had to play the whole season w him it would have increased our odds. But just 4 games - BB will find some more rules to break or loopholes to climb through in order to level the playing field.

Plenty. The Miami Dolphins are going to be a players in not just being one of the playoff teams, but winning the east, any games that the Patriots do not have Brady and end up losing will be one more game that the Patriots will have to make up.

The Patriots schedule is a little tougher then the Dolphins, the last thing the Pats would want, is to find themselves behind a confident w/ momentum Dolphins team by the time they meet for the 1st time.
