Branden Albert . . . . . . and Ryan Shazier

Shelley Smith is going to be starter so there are two spots left. Also, there are a ton of FA Guards available. Finally, there are some nice RT candidates that will be there at 50. If Dennis wants not go line at 19, he easily can.

Agreed. I could live w/ Shazier or even Lee @ 19 then Ju'Waun James @ 50.

BPA at 19. That is all.

Hypothetically speaking; what if Nix or Donald is BPA at 19???

If Nix were BPA, we could use someone to replace Soliai. But he's not going to be. Donald could be BPA at 19 (assuming he lasts). I'd have no issue drafting him.

Yeah I'd love Shazier in the first. When was the last time we had a LB with his ability, playmaking and athletic prowess? I can't remember any like him. Also, sure our team chaplain would love to have his son play for the Phins as well!

playmaker in 1st;Shazier or O.Beckham 2nd J.James,Moses Kuandijo [sp.] 3RD J.Hill.C.Sims 4th C.Watt guard N.D. BPA REST OF WAY

I don't want Shazier. He was nearly invisible in the Orange Bowl against Clemson. If Dabo Swinney can neutralize him, I am pretty sure Bill Belichick will. Good stats, not a game changer, disappears in big games. Pass.

Last year's divisional playoff teams:

New England Patriots: RT Marcus Gannon, drafted in 5th round. 4 years experience.
Indianapolis Colts: RT Gosder Cherilus, drafted in 1st round. 7 years experience.
Denver Broncos: RT Orlando Franklin, drafted in 2nd round. 4 years experience.
San Diego Chargers: RT DJ Fluker, drafted in 1st round. 2 years experience.
Seattle Seahawks: RT Breno Giacomini, drafted in 5th round. 7 years experience.
San Francisco 49ers: RT Anthony Davis, drafted in 1st round. 5 years experience.
New Orleans Saints: RT Zach Strief, drafted in 7th round. 9 years experience.
Carolina Panthers: RT Byron Bell, undrafted. 4 years experience.

Wildcard

Kansas City Chiefs: RT Donald Stephenson, drafted in 3rd round. 3 years experience.
Cincinnati Bengals: RT Andre Smith, drafted in 1st round. 6 years experience.
Green Bay Packers: RT Bryan Bulaga, drafted in 1st round. 5 years experience.
Philadelphia Eagles: RT Lane Johnson, drafted in 1st round. 2 years experience.

Ok....I just looked this up today on a lark.

What struck me is the years of experience at RT for these teams. We're going to have a rookie RT?

The second thing is...that apparently yes, the MAJORITY of all of these successful teams have a RT playing who was drafted in the first or second round. But there's also a sizable number who were not. And what's shocking about those, is they are not mostly from the next rung (3rd and 4th round), they are from the 5th round or later. So what successful teams seem to do is draft them early, and if they're gone, then wait until later rounds.

It will be interesting, for sure, to see where we're going. The draft is deep in RT, from what we're told.

all i know is if they do draft shazier at #19 which is too rich to begin with they damn well better be cutting philip wheeler post june 1st or we gonna have 3 guys all competing for weakside snaps in the lb core in 2014...

wheeler, jenkins and shazier...that's too many guys at one spot

Lane Johnson and DJ Fluker were rookies last year...

Here is what bothers me with Mosley…the medical and the fanfare that Bama defenders get before entering the NFL and never living up to the hype. The latter is not fair to Mosley, but it is hard for me to get over.

Shazier is 3 down LB that will help the team in the nickel. Plus, I like players in which their athletic ability matches their production.

Plus, if the MLB is what they want and move Ellerbe, I would see if I could snag Borland at 50.

Borland is going to get embarrassed in the passing game....I'd take a shot on him in the third....maybe

I am not sure about that. Embarrassed is strong word. Wheeler-like embarrassment? It cannot be that atrocious.

Short, lacks athleticism....maybe not embarrassed, but exposed...I don't see him as a 3 down player...
