Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey confirmed LT Branden Albert (knee surgery) is on track to play in the season opener.

Albert has been setback-free in his ACL recovery to this point. His status for training camp remains questionable, but the Dolphins fully expect him to be ready for Week 1. After missing the final eight games last year, Albert’s return will provide a major upgrade in pass protection.

Good. Because we're really gonna need him.

Never had a doubt with his work ethic.

Plus, this will give us a good chance to develop a backup somewhat during preseason.

Brandons making a remarkable recovery. That's great, cuz this O-line needs him in there!

Take your frigg'in TIME! Please don't rush him back.

Please do not let this man do anything other than bike work until the opener!

Without him our O-line is screwed....hope he will be close to 100%.

His presence means a lot for us this year. With him our O line is solid and RT can have a big year. Without him our OL struggles

I don't care what this article says. There is no way that fat man will be 100% come Game 1 of the regular season. It's wishful thinking. I mean he tore it in what Oct/Nov? Beyond the healing there is also the mental/trust factor in the knee and that takes more time.

I'd even be happy if he rested 2 more weeks and came back for the Bills just to be safe.

And that's also good because we have to expect that we will rely on the backup before season's end. I'm glad we have Albert and we are much better with him on the team, but his history says that it is unrealistic to expect him to play a full season. Or maybe he should ask A.P what preparation and PED's he used to make his comeback.

its funny reading this thread and reminiscing on the discussion before we got him....this guy is absolutely vital to our success, and after seeing some of his videos and interviews he is an "all pro" before he ever steps on the field. his preparation and work ethic is something to be admired. looking forward to him anchoring our line next to pouncey....
