Brandon Gibson Looks To Be Odd Man Out

Have they brought in any fullbacks yet? Looks like they might run without one again, save for C. Clay. They might keep 7 WRs on the roster if most of them can play special teams better than the crop of DBs on the roster.

:bobdole:

Fins finally have a stacked WR roster. Lets not mess it up.

Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews, Landry, Binns....nice 6

The only way Gibson gets cut, is if his injury keeps him from being half the player he has been. I agree, he essentially lost me when he said we attempted to trade Wallace. How did we do that exactly? Nobody is going to take his salary and we are not going to take that big of a cap hit after only 1 season. Guess the speculation reporting doesn't stop even after the draft is over.

Gibson was a very good contributor last season until he got injured. From a scarcity of WRs 2 years ago, we now have a plethora of good players and they will give Lazor a variety of different options. There is no need to toss Brandon Gibson in the trash bin - he's good and clearly combined well with Ryan Tannehill. He just needs to focus on getting to full health.

If Gibson's at full strength he's as good as anyone! And certainly has developed a chemistry with out QB who's particularly comfortable throwing within the radius of Gibby's route-running. I also believe that in '12, he lead the league in 3rd down conversions for the Rams, so he's money. Long way of declaring I'd be livid if he's healthy and not lined up as a starter!

Oh and Brady would make him a household name, so there's that too.

your the odd one out by listening to rant sports

As much as I didn't like the Gibson move when it happened - I do think that he along with Landry and Matthews [if he gets his head on straight] fit more of the mould of a WR that Philbin wants. So don't see anything happening him - that is, if he's back to pre injury form.

"Rant Sports"

there's the problem...

I googled DJ Siddiq and he is a "writer" for Bleacher Report and Rant Sports...which means he's no different than you and me, except he apparently has a lot more time on his hands. I'm actually itching to tweet him and ask about his source on the Mike Wallace trade attempts, but nothing good would come of that...

This

Gibson was our best WR last year and if he is healthy he will be a Miami Dolphin this year PERIOD. How stupid would it be to get rid of our most reliable WR before we even know what we have in Landry. I know many around here already have Landry's bust picked out for Canton but can we at least see him in a few preseason games before we annoint him the next Jerry Rice??

If this team was that concerned with cutting back on salary, Gibson would be one of the LAST places they would look.

Silly article. You don't dump a good WR to save $2M unless you are in cap hell, and we are far from that. Also, does everyone remember that Gibson was a good boundry WR, with some thinking he could not adapt to the slot, when he got here. He adapted very well but, can still move back to the boundry, way too valuable to get rid of.

Also, the guy he said was safe is the one who will most likely be cut. There is a large amount of fail here
