I am removing Paul Poluzsny as a potential rushing OLB. He just fell to an automatic ILB in the 3-4 by measuring at barely 6-1. Siler actually measured at 6-2. He has been, to me, only a potential ILB. But he may just be at that borderline. Although, I think he is an inch too short for what I like. I usually think that the SLB should be no shorter than 6-3...but there are exceptions.

ok COACH.

BTW siler is too slow for SOLB.

I eally don't think an inch is that big of deal. It's about speed and coverage

ok... siler is an inch taller... whats ur point? are you trying to say that pozlusney cant play olb in a 3-4? was he ever expected to? alot of the stuff i saw in articles and watching him is hes an ILB in a 3-4 and can be a MLB or OLB in the 4-3. siler is slower than pozlusny (at least in GAME speed)and pozlusny is one of the class players of this draft, id be ecstatic if we got him with our second round pick or moved down in the first, he would become our next zach thomas with his work ethic and heart.

Paul Poz may not have the ideal size, but he has football smarts, instincts and intensity... an undersized linebacker with heart and hunger. Nah, wouldn't want someone like that, would we?

Puz can't play OLB in a true 3-4 IMO, but he can play everywhere in a 4-3. But in our hybrid defense, I think he could play outside all right.

he could still be better than spragan i suppose

but i feel itd be a waste of his individual talents to put him at olb in the 3-4, hed need to beef up for it since linebacker in the 3-4 in general are bigger. i think he could PLAY it, but wouldnt achieve what he could in the 4-3 or inside on a 3-4, I guess a big question too is whether crowder projects as our future MLB or OLB.

I'm glad to see someone else with a sane thought

Honestly other than one thing off the top of my "head"
does one inch matter??????

Dude. WTF. Are you serious? Paul Poz is one of the best LB 's to come out of Penn State and that's saying something. So dou you mean you would rather have Siler just because he's 1 measly inch taller? You really need to start watching what a player can actually do on the field rather than looking at their measurements.

Don mAtter cuz I don think Miami will draft LB.... there happy with that scrap Spragan accordin to palm

i hope it's not true! we need a pass rushing olb and maybe another ilb to run the 3-4 defense! :tantrum:
