Genesis
1) Lions- Jason Smith LT Baylor
The LT position is the safest pick in the draft. When you're investing all that money to one player, it better be a pretty sure bet.
2) Rams- Eugene Monroe LT Virginia
Read above. Plus the loss of Orlando Pace makes this pick pretty obvious.
3) Chiefs- Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest
Best player in the draft. Pioli is the man when it comes to the NFL Draft.
4) Seahawks- Matthew Stafford QB Georgia
'Hawks get the QB of the future. Hasselback is aging and Wallace is a career backup.
5) Browns- Michael Crabtree Wr Texas Tech
Braylon Edwards could be on the outs. Crabtree is an elite talent.
6) Bengals- Michael Oher LT Ole Miss
Elite pass blocking LT
7) Raiders- Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri
Al Davis loves his receiving fast and elusive.
8) Jaguars- BJ Raji DT Boston College
When Marcus Stroud left, the defense got soft. Not anymore.
9) Packers- Tyson Jackson DE LSU
Switching to a 3-4 requires a run-stuffing DE.
10) 49ers- Mark Sanchez QB USC
Shaun Hill can hold it down for one more year until Sanchez is ready to take over.
11) Bills- Brian Orakpo DE Texas
Elite pass-rushing talent Bills desperately need
12) Broncos- Brian Cushing LB USC
Versatile player who can play any LB in the 3-4. Mcdaniels comes from the Belichek schooling.
They invested a lot in Andre Goodman who is a very underrated CB.
13) Redskins- Everett Brown DE FSU
Redskins continue to look for a pass rushing DE.
14) Saints- K. Moreno RB Georgia
With Deuce gone, they need a solid back to complement Bush's style. They like last years 2nd round pick in Porter at the CB position.
15) Texans- Malcolm Jenkins CB Ohio State
Dunta Robinson is good but not elite, pairing him with Jenkins will be nice.
16) Chargers- Andre Smith LT Alabama
Chargers are a team who is always looking for depth. Oline depth is key.
17) Jets- Josh Freeman QB Kansas State
Rex Ryans new version of Joe Flacco.
18) Broncos- Clay Matthews OLB USC
Pile on those linebackers. Mcdaniels will find QB talent later in the draft. (Mcgee from A&M perhaps?)
19) Buccaneers- Peria Jerry DT Ole Miss
Nice Cover 2 DT
20) Lions- Robert Ayers DE Tennessee
Will be a nice complement to Avril bringing speed rushes all over the Dline.
21) Eagles- Chris Wells RB Ohio State
Westbrook is the man in Philly but he's only human. How much longer can he last?
22) Vikings- Eben Britton RT Arizona
Left side of the line is solid. Right side, not so much.
23) Patriots- Connor Barwin OLB Cincinatti
Belichek loves his LBs. Barwin is the most athletic LB in this draft.
24) Falcons- Brandon Pettigrew TE Oklahoma State
Falcons TEs were least productive in the NFL. Pettigrew is the prototypical do-it-all TE the NFL is starting to lack.
25) Dolphins- Rey Maualuga ILB USC
Parcells loves LBs. He loves them big and nasty.
26) Ravens- Darius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland
Ravens need some firepower on offense.
27) Colts- Vontae Davis CB Illinois
Cover 2 Corners need to be physical and quick in short areas. Davis is your man.
28) Eagles- Aaron Maybin DE/OLB Penn State
Maybin is a one dimensional sack artist. That's perfect for the Eagles.
29) Giants- Hakeem Nicks WR North Carolina
No Plax, no problem. New-age Michael Irvin.
30) Titans- Percy Harvin WR Florida
Titans have a history of not drafting WRs early. Harvin's potential is too much to pass up.
31) Cardinals- Alex Mack Center California
Cardinals rushing attack was horrible. Mack will help fix that.
32) Steelers- Jarron Gilbert DE San Jose State
Big, athletic DE who will add immediate depth to an aging Dline.
