Apologies if this has been posted already.

Take aways for me:

1. Tua's footwork and release are insanely quick.
2. The play design is getting guys open and the option routes mean that 'correct' guesses by the defense are still wrong. How unfair is it that if the safety stays back, Hill stops his route and if the comes up, Hill runs past him? When have we ever seen this with the Dolphins?
3. Waddle falls down after catching the ball too much (still love him as a receiver so don't go nuts).
4. Pass protection was pretty damn good.

Waddle definitely does that Hartline act where he falls to the ground after every catch

I'm not mad at it. Waddle is not a big guy, if he doesn't feel YAC isn't there for him he hits the deck. But I don't want to lose him trying to get YAC anyway. Hartline on the other hand wasn't a small guy, he just had awkward balance issues.

I don't think Waddle's hands are all that natural. He double catches some and he sometimes needs to stop his feet by jumping or whatever to secure the catch. It was a concern I had from his draft film, but he's so good at everything else that you live with it.

That game by Tua was near perfect in terms of his decision-making, timing etc. It wasn't the biggest game ever stat-wise, but he played one of the best games I've ever reviewed. That was why I had an issue with some of the begrudging praise calling him "competent" or that he finally played "like a franchise QB". That game can't be the standard for Tua or any QB. That level of decision-making was astounding. That wasn't just "competent". And it isn't a reasonable expectation for him or anybody going forward. If his decision-making was always at that level then he'd end up as the greatest QB ever. That's why you had that 80% completion % and +350 yards stat that was so rare and had never been done by a Dolphin. It's not a fair requirement that Tua has to play at a "best QB ever" standard for some to admit he can be a franchise QB.

I dont think Wddle falls to much. He makes a lot of yac. Gesecki does. Hill runs backwards. I hate seeing when hill runs backwards.

Great post.

Definitely need to give credit to the O-line as most of these highlights show a fairly clean pocket. Something we have rarely seen in the past so many years.

The biggest impact Wilson will make are those dump offs Edmonds was dropping. As the season continues our running game will play a bigger role. Just in time for the inclement weather.

Dissected by someone who is supposedly unbiased but based on the youtube comments, he's not. Most of his throws he calls pedestrian.
