As good as Gesicki can be as a receiving weapon, if you can work with him enough to become decent, or OK using his big bodybto at least slow pass-rushers, he is far to valuable as a TE, to move to WR.
Gesicki is not a tight end..just because someone is his size, doesn’t mean he should be considered such, he’s the absolute worst blocker I’ve seen come into the league at that position..so in what sense should I consider him to anything but a large wide receiver..
He cannot be put in situations on the LOS that a real tight end could..you simply cannot jeopardize him, the play or his teammates...so I don’t understand the need to categorize this young man as such..
The dude is absolutely NOT a blocker -- just fundamentally can't get leverage and
looks downright awkward attempting to block... We have to hope he turns into a
pass catching monster (or at least a big scary) to justify his "position" whatever
it's termed as...
