BREAKING NEWS: Rams Want to Interview Fins Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph

ESPN is reporting the LA Rams have targeted four coordinators around the league they want to interview to be their next head coach. One of the four names is Dolphins Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph.

After today's game, they're probably saying: "thats the exact D that will help us lose, like we're used to doing"

"I would be surprised if Joseph lands this job in LA. The Rams have a lot invested in a young quarterback they took with the #1 overall pick in last years draft. One would think they will want to build around him and invest in an offensive minded head coach to help the growth of that player and investment they have in that draft pick. I think Joseph is a year or two away from getting serious looks at head coaching positions. And not to be too cynical one always has to wonder if Joseph is getting this interview to fulfill the "Rooney Rule" requirement as well".
 
I imagine He's gonna get some of these interviews solely based on the Rooney Rule. Sounds like the Rams are looking to hire an offensive mind anyway. I think Gase could find someone comparable to VJ
 
there are rumors of sean peyton going there. this is just for the rooney rule. i honestly dont see him doing it. but if he does its just for experience
 
Rams want a QB developer, and they need to satisfy the Rooney Rule. VJ may get other interviews as well, but I'd be surprised if he gets an HC job this offseason.
 
Hue Jackson (Cleveland) will probably be available to interview as well.
 
I hope he interviews for the experience and it solidifies his choice to be in Miami. Give him a few years to build this D then let's talk about HC
