Breer: Ross convinced Phins are QB away from Super Bowl

I nevr buy this qb away crap but its better to have as good a qb as possible
 
Everybody thinks they're a QB away from a superbowl.

The part that tends to get left out is that you're an elite, healthy, dependable, clutch, experienced QB away from a superbowl.

most of them are right. look at teams like arizona and indi. when they lost their elite QBs they turned into a couple of the worst teams in the league immediately. when they had their elite QBs they made super bowl appearances. QBs can change the trajectory of a team a lot in a short period of time.

somewhat but even with possibly the best qb of all time Indy still only went to one superbowl and won one. so the analysis that of being a qb away is pretty generic,

1 QB... 2 OL... 1 more elite receiver.. 1 DB... 1 maybe 2 safeties... and throw in someone else to rush the QB... then I'll say we're close to the SB
 
trade up for RG3 and end all this crap once and for all. How many picks are worth having a franchise QB? I say whatever it takes at this point. give me something to jerk to.

All we need is a QB, RT, and DE/OLB. Manning would make this receiving core look amazing. He has never a Marshall type of receiver in his career. Bess would be awesome in the slot with Peyton because of his blitz reads.
 
You can spot the people who just cheer for a team from the people who watch the NFL probably just based on that one comment.

How long was Marino's career?

How many Super Bowls did he win in this LONG career with the Dolphins?

Football is a TEAM sport. Having the best QB doesn't mean squat. Having the best TEAM of players and best Coach are what wins Super Bowls. And having GREAT ownership.
 
We may or may not be a QB away from a championship....but its a fact your not winning one without an elite QB.
