I tried to type the jist of it as I listened... Here it is...

• •- Condon in his office today…
•- Late today or tomorrow – drew will be playing for one of those two teams.. (Mia or NO)
•- Money is a factor… location is a factor… organization & coaching staff is a factor… supporting cast a factor… chance to be successful is a factor…
•- NO discussions center around him being the face of the franchise… he gives them credibility.. If Brees signs, others may as well…
•- In giving advice to Brees, would tell Brees to weigh out all the factors, then balance the economics and long term winning
•- Thinks both teams think the shoulder would be fine…
•- Expects any contract would include a club option for year 2.
•- Charger offer is guarantee is $2M… Other teams offer is 4-5 times that…
•- Never say never, but probably too far down the road to talk to the Chargers..
•- Not conceivable that they would go back and ask the Chargers to match another offer…
•- Is not completely excluding other teams… some have showed interest… but NO and Mia have showed the most interest…

EDIT.. should be titled Tom Condon on radio - not Brees

If he really wants 10 million per year I'd rather go after Daunte Culpepper and try to trade our second of next years draft

Thanks for the info--but who was being interviewed?

Edit: Nevermind, you changed the title. Thanks again.

....this will all be over soon hopefully, I'm tired of waiting...If he really chooses N.O over Miami....so be it, good luck being the joke of the league Drew.

I'd rather just end the qb sideshow in Miami and finally secure that spot as solid so we can worry about other areas. If there's gonna be other problems on our team, at least they wont be the same ones at QB. Just give the man the money. If we want a good QB anyway, we're gonna have to pay him. The NFL aint cheap.

I dont see how Brees can choose a franchise that doesn't really know where its going to be playing in a couple years. I mean he is talking about stability, and everything. If that has anything to do with it there is no way he chooses NO. That is the most unstable franchise in the NFL, I have a hard time seeing Brees signing with NO.

Or I'm just looking for every reason for him to sign with us.

only if culpeper would re-work his deal. culpeper's contract is an albatross.

I want 10 million a year, too. Doesn't mean I'll be getting it.

lol.. Yeah ok. Daunte's contract is huge. It's already clear that Nick has Drew Brees as his 1st option, and maybe Culpepper as his 2nd. Not too many teams are interested in Culpepper due to his contract and personality/off the field issues.

Man, the suspense is killing me!! Make an anouncment already!!
915 people on FinHeaven right now, tells me I'm not the only one holding my breathe :cooldude:

Hudson Houck was the O-line coach for San Diego, when Drew Brees played for San Diego. So Hudson coached the same line that protected Brees for a few years...maybe that might influence Brees to want to play in Miami, he knows Houck will give him a very protective line. Do u agree??
