it seems like everyone is freaking out about the drew brees situation, maybe its just my positive personality but remember one thing, saban is a great coach, and we spend alot of time of this site praising him, do we not fully trust every decision that he makes? i certainly do, what ever the case, we are going to be ok, if saban doesnt spend the money on drew brees, for whatever reason, i trust saban much more than i trust the saints franchise, i tuely believe that brees will be a fin, but if it doesnt happen, there is no reason to panic.

I think Saban will do what he truly feels is best for the long term health and strength of the Dolphins. If the Saints offer a mega deal and Saban feels that matching (or exceeding) it will hinder the team from doing the other things it needs to do then I don't mind him saying 'no' to Brees. I think Saban would love to see him as a Fin, but he is not going to mortgage the entire organization for one piece of the puzzle (even a very important piece).

Trusting Saban has nothing to do with being outbid. If New Orleans offers Brees a big contract that he can't refuse, then Saban's decisions and coaching abilities don't matter much.

We could still get McCown or Ramsey or even DC? As much as I would like to see him here, its not all lost if he decides to got to NOLA...

Isnt this a run on sentence? Put a period in there man, and stop YELLING.

And no, Frerotte will not be starting next year.

And if it doesn't, like you indicated, there is a reason Saban doesn't overpay him.
 
I've got nothing but admiration & respect for our coach, but Brees would be a much better fit than Culpepper because Saban and Brees seem to have more in common.

Brees manages the game very well, Culpepper would constantly need to be coached up and reigned in...

If NO gets him then we've got a pretty good shot at Cutler though. If teams pick like they've been projected to pick...

I say that we all should put it in our heads that Brees wont be available. I think that way if he does sign then we would have already accepted it. I hope he makes it to Miami before he makes up his mind.

Haha........yeah agreed that frerotte will not be starting, for sure, we have other options for QB other than Brees
