Brees: "....either Philip or I will stay next year, and one of us will go"

We already know this. But if Brees plays like he did last year, then he should be the one to stay because he is proven. Both of them will have big contracts next year and it might be hard to afford one of them.

Not exactly a big shock, but I hope we've got the cap room and the trade ammo to take one of them on. (By the way, the first person to get mad at me for throwing AJ Feeley under the bus is getting shot at sunrise. Fair warning.)

Hey, is anyone else freaked out by that mole Brees has? Looks like a fungus growing on his cheek. You'd think with the money he has, he could get that thing lasered or something.

If Feeley flops, I think either one of them would be perfect for Miami.. Already seasoned and have potential for further growth.. Perfect for a Playoff and Superbowl run.

Find the gun, because I'm coming after you for throwing a possible good QB under the bus..

Cool, thanks for the heads-up.

well from what i hear around here, the fins will try desperatly to sign the one who sucks. basically the one who is traded/cut after this season.

then the bills will be pissed off because they realize that the guy we signed who sucks is still better than Losman

Relatively.. because he has been prepped by a NFL franchise for 2 seasons.. He would be like a REALLY DEVELOPPED bluechip QB prospect.. More apt to be successful quicker than anyone we would draft.

Feeley is more "seasoned" than Rivers...I'm not even sure he threw a pass last year. Brees is a different story but if he's available he'll either be coming off a major injury or last year was just a fluke. Either way "perfect for a playoff & Superbowl run" may be a little premature.

Rivers was a 4 year starter and set NCAA records.. Feeley has under 20 starts since high school.. While Feeley may have potential, Rivers is certainly more seasoned.. And if Brees goes down, he will see playing time.. Im really unsure who the Chargers will choose to keep if Brees continues to play at a high level..

Do you keep the proven or the higher potential?

College is just that...college. All signs point to Rivers sitting this season again. Now I am not saying that Feeley is a world-beater BUT he will have every opportunity to prove himself this year. If he doesn't he's gone.

IF, Rivers plays this year then Brees will be the one who hits the road. San Diego will not let their starter for the majority of this season go.

I don,t see Saban going with either one of these guys . I think he will look for a QB to work in his system (who knows he maybe on the team now). I don,t see him spending big money on one.
