I don't know if this is common knowledge, but it was news to me:

"The Chargers say that the offer still remains, but Brees appears gone from San Diego.


The former Purdue quarterback has decided to make a trip to New Orleans Saturday and then visit the Miami Dolphins on Sunday."


It was on an insider thing on espn.com
 
I thought the offer from SanDiego was withdrawn

No...Drews agent said we took all the incentive off the table which wasnt true.

We offered Drew 6 years, 50 million but the first year was a 2 million deal with no bonus and was loaded with incentives...like if he gets 75% of the snaps, then he gets another 3.5 million. Now to me, ......if he is as healthy and ahead of schedule as he says he is....he should have no problem with that deal ....especially when he says how bad he wants to stay in San Diego.but, his agent and Drew turned it down. They are looking for a bigger guaranteed contract and wont get it here.

Makes me believe he isnt as sure he can play as soon as he thinks.
