If this signing of Drew Brees is true than it will help with signing with other players because that puts us closer to that Super Bowl and other Free Agents are going to realize that. :D

that chambers84 guy was feeding us BS??????? I wondered where the thread went! Now Im Pi$$ed for setting my hopes up. Man why can't this just be over. He better get the boot for pulling $hit like that. He just wasted 10 valuable mins of my life!

Regardless of whether we sign Brees or not, free agents already want to come here. Look at all the people who mention they want to play in Miami now, it's all becuase of Saban not the possible Brees signing
 
I'm pretty sure you guys land Brees but what will use to pay other FAs? To outbid the Saints you guys are going have to pay Brees a huge frontloaded contract and SB. You have $6.3 million available in cap space. Even if you get two or guys to restructure you'd get around $5 mil, won't you need some money to sign draft picks?

We cut Frerotte we save $7 Million
We can restructure Taylor and Thomas, I think Taylor alone saves us about $6 Million, so we could be under the cap by about $20 million if need be

true the same money assigned to gus would go to brees, and with the signing bonus prorated he would count less than gus against the cap this year. miami is fine with the cap, GB, minnesota, cleveland and some other teams may have more to spend, but they have a lot more holes to fill than miami does.
