This could be false reporting again but I have a good feeling that today is the day Brees signs here. Last night on sports center they said that the Dolphins clamped a deadline request on Brees that was extended to Tuesday evening (tonight).

This article on ESPN says that today is going to be a busy day for NFL quarterbacks. Although they don't mention Brees, I believe they are implying that he signs today.

If they extended a deadline once, whats to stop them from extending it again?

Well the reason they extended it the first time was because Brees left town without further negotioations to rehab in Alabama. He is back in Miami today and if he leaves without a deal, it's safe to say, he's a Saint.

I hope he does decide today, one way or the other.... But after the last three days, i wouldnt be suprised to see it dragged out a little longer.

Is he back in Miami? I can't imagine that he would come back to the table if he didn't plan on signing, here is hoping!

Today is always the day Brees will sign. It is always Today. Today is the day, No, Today is the day.

It will be within the next 24 hours...and if not then, then within the next 24 hours or the next or ?

So he left town to continue rehab, but is right back here the next day? That sounds fishy to me. What kind of rehab did he due overnight that couldn't have waited until a decision was made?

Saban will turn up the heat on Brees!

I would not be surprised if Saban & Co. decide to begin talks with Daunte and continue to leak their interest in Schaub. Brees is playing the game, as a good business person would, but will eventually sign. In the meantime, Saban is going to let Brees and his agent know who's in control.

This is how it's going to play out:

1. Saban contacts Daunte and let's him know he's interested and to get a feel of the $$$.

2. Brees asks for an extension and Saban denies it. He states that it's today or go to NO because your the 1st option not the only.

3. Brees waits until the 11th hour and eventually signs.

From the sighning of Brees, Gus is let go and the ripple begins. Kelly Campbell is signed, Mare is replaced by Vanderjagt...

Be patient as it will be a great Tuesday eveninng and a better hump day!:dolphins:

I thought he signed yesterday???....

Oh wait, I mean he's signing today. Scratch that, he's signing "on this day tomorrow next week"...

PHINZ RULE!!!

OK ROOKIE! why else we he come back to Miami after leaving for just one day? Why does ESPN quote "a busy day for quarterbacks and he will decide today?" Why did Nick put a request for a decision on him today?

.....or that he could have done at the Dolphins facility? I agree with you on that. Weird.

We need to relax

The worst part is, even after he signs, which is a maybe anyway, this whole stress we have all been under the past few days will not be over. We will move right onto the stress of wondering can he play, will he play, will we win with him, all of which will not be answered for many months to come. We are all looking for some answer to our once mighty qb position, but even if he signs, we still will be in the same boat.... this is gonna be a lonnng off season, my fishy friends...:boohoo:
