If he so chooses to be done its because he wants to do other things NOT because he doesn't have the talent!!!! Now in response to certain things that have been said:
I'm more of a Packers fan than Dolphins but my 'boyfriend' is a dolphins fan and showed me all of these posts about Brett and honestly I dont think he'll play for any other team but the Packers if he decided to stick around, but if he did any team would be lucky to have him. Instead of putting down his abilities you should look at his numbers, no he didn't have the best season but he also didn't have an offensive line, a running game, or healthy recievers to pass the ball to. Last year he didn't have a defense and still managed to get his team to the playoffs. He is one of the greats and if he did end up on Miami and helped your team to a Superbowl you'd be wishing you never made those comments. For those of you saying nice things about him, thank you, he is a damn good quaterback and one season should NOT make people doubt is ability to play the game! ~Maggie

stick a fork in him Maggie, he's done. There will be no more Superbowls, only embarrassment and injury if he continues. The "gunslinger good" no longer overcomes the "gunslinger bad" Brett needs to ride off into the sunset before he is carried off on his shield.

Woah never seen you so harsh before but I understand both sides of reasoning and I hope he packs it in!

yeahhh.... right...

Brett still has physical game left in him but I wonder if he is still mentally into it

Id still rather have Brett than 70% of other QB's in the league I hope he doesnt retire but I also dont want to see him suffer playing for GB next year....he should go play for a contendor and let Aaron Rodgers take the load in GB

He started the season with an entire winless month and went all of December without a TD pass. The Packers aren't a good team right now, won't be going to the Super Bowl and Favre's play degressed as the season went along. He's had a great career, and he should simply retire. The Packers should look for a decent vet starter to be a stopgap until Rodgers matures enough to full starter.

Have you seen Favre lately? He's been in many nationally televised games in the last two months and each time I saw him he's been really awful. I mean it would almost be comical how the Packers O sputtered if it had not been a future HOFer who is clearly past his swansong. His QB rate dropped 20 points from 2004. Did you see the Ravens game? Or any Packers game in December? Might of well had been Marino ag Dallas on Thanksgiving in 99. You think he is a top 10 QB? Lay off the :ricky:...

Everyone should realize when it is time to retire and hang it up....too many guys hang on for too long and then embarrass themselves....Muhammed Ali, Willie Mays, Joe Namath, etc. Sherman has been fired....you hope the new coach won't tell Bret to retire before he is cut.
