Brian Baldinger breaks down Tua and other Fins

I love watching Baldinger on TV - "Take a look at this right here...." Ummmm, dude, am I supposed to be looking at the TV or out in the hall?

That Tua to Gesicki throw had me excited, it’s a shame he didn’t catch it but if you see that and you claim he doesn’t have the arm strength or can’t make it in the league then idk what to tell you. There’s maybe 3 guys that place the ball there and the other two are named Rodgers and Brady. I’d like to say that’s one of his best throws of his career, but it seems like every week he throws a perfectly placed ball just over the touch of the defender.

Yea the beating of that drum is beyond old and dissproven.

I just ignore those individuals who claim Tua has a weak arm. I know they have no clue when it comes to football and therefore there is no need to waste my time responding to them.

Pretty exciting times.

Tua is playing so well. It's only a matter of time before the narrative on him in the national media changes. We are already starting to see that. I guess completing 78 percent of your passes over a four-game stretch will cause some re-evaluations.

Waddle is amazing. Like to see him break that 101 mark by game 16. Leave no doubt.

Holland, what can you say? Agree, he doesn't play like a rookie. Incredible player.

The year has definitely become more interesting for the Miami Dolphins.

I posted this in other thread, but first one the dude wasn't open, but Tua last year with hip not completely healed was making intermediate passes and deeper ones. And I know some have already shown it but just the reminder of tua does have the arm. It's not a cannon but more than enough to hit passes need to make all over the field. But it's too bad the dude dropped the great pass. But that deep pass wasn't a lofted floated but had zip and got to the wrs hands fast 50 yards in the air. Tua launched pass from fins 2 yard line and ball landed at bengals 45 yard line. That's 53 yards in the air with good zip I believe

I hope lindsay is back and runs well. I really want a little more protection. Just more progress from o line with lindsay running well could open a deep pass here or there. I just feel, and waiting for Jets to bite closing the coverage thinking it's all dink and dunk or lindsay runs will putting more threat for rpo. And Waddle gets loose deep and tua lauches it. With that speed, I'm just dying to see Waddle getting deep and tua having a little more time and launching it like he did in that pass vs bengals last year, but this time Waddle catches it unlike that fins player who dropped the damn pass

We have some young players and excited to see their growth. I just hope our coaching staff doesn’t **** them up. So far they are being coached nicely know if we can only get the same thing on the other side of the ball

It is a great throw, but it is a mistake to mention arm strength with that throw. That is a touch pass with very rapid recognition and a quick release. It is a soft touch throw. I mentioned this in another thread. All NFL QBs attempt to fit throws into tight windows.

I am not a QB coach, but here is how I understand the situation. There are four parts to accomplishing the throw - recognition, release time, anticipation, and arm strength. For most throws, all arm strength gives you is the ability to be slow on recognition, release time, or anticipation and still make the throw. There are 5% of the situations where arm strength plays a bigger role. Most of the time I ignore comments about arm strength because it is clear the situation had nothing to do with arm strength. It is one of the other components.

There are two special traits within Tua’s game that I see - elite accuracy and very quick release. I think it is an elite release, but I might be overstating it.
