He just said on the nfln that Campbell is the wrong decision, and that he will not do well as the Head Coach. Unemployed much Brian?

Billick is washed up. He cannot even realize that a TE coach was a better choice than him. Besides, he and Ross do not like each other.

All these talking heads need to get a clue. We had to move on from Philbin and sorry Brian but not interested in hiring you.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I can understand that Campbell may be a BIT over his head, but the guy has some very real intangibles that Philbin clearly did not. If anything, this is a good litmus test of how the team responds to a hard-working leader. The ones that don't respond well, Hickey and Tannenbaum already know what to do with come March.

I'd take Bullock in a second.

Just wondering, how do you really disagree with him?

I can't stop looking at his top lip when he talks.... it's just strange :err:

Or sooner. Some of these guys need to realize they could lose their jobs now. The coaching sucked but that doesn't hide the fact that many players have sucked as well. A message needs to get sent if the loafing continues in any capacity.

Opinions are paid to have a$$holes.

Or the other way around.

BNF.

He's clearly jealous that such a strong and handsome man is taking over a position that he yearns for.

Did he give a reason why or was he just drooling out the side of his mouth as usual?

He said Dan doesn't know anything about game management or calling plays. He doesn't see how Dan will say if Lazor is calling the right plays or if Coyle is. Basically poo-pooed him form the moment he started talking until his segment was over.

the segment I saw, I got the feeling he was down on the whole interim process in general vs Dan Campbell so much. It started like this...."So Brian, Can Campbell turn this team around and into a winner?".... Brian: "No." I actually LOL'd there a little because there is a bit of honesty, if not truth in there. Hopefully, Dan can prove Billick wrong - we'll see. Anyone that thinks they know for sure how this will play out is probably not too wise.

Game management hmm like time outs? we have been good at that... play calling he isn't doing that so...

Guys like Billick are paid to talk and analyze and maybe elicit discussion.

I'm interesting in what these guys have to say, but I take it with a grain of salt. The truth is no one knows how Campbell will do as head coach. I'm eager to see where it goes, and, if it doesn't go well, we search and get the best guy we can. But I knew what we had in Philbin, and that definitely wasn't getting it done.

I feel bad for Billick. I remember reading an article saying he was blackballed from coaching after Baltimore. It's really really strange that a guy who won an SB and had a long run with a team never gets a 2nd chance at any level. I think he expressed interest in the Fins job when we hired Philbin and Ross didn't even bring him in for an interview.

Personally I don't think he's a bad coach, but he is the guy who kicked an FG against an 0-12 team with 4th an inch to win the game. Thanks for keeping us out of the history books brain.
