Earlier this week, offensive guard Vernon Carey said the Miami Dolphins needed to rely more on the offensive line and the running game to end the team's red-zone struggles, saying "put it on us."

It appears offensive coordinator Brian Daboll might agree. He hinted that getting rookie tailback Daniel Thomas more involved might help turn around the team's struggles, which has the Dolphins turning just 33.3 percent of its red-zone opportunities into touchdowns. Only the St. Louis Rams, who are also winless, have been worse in the red zone.

"I looked at every play we ran in the red zone last night. [Thomas] has had 14 touches and has been a very productive player for us in that area," Daboll said. "Most of his runs have been 3-plus [yard] runs. Those are positive plays."

DUH

Running in short yardage? It's so crazy it just might work.

Hmm...nope I don't think anyone on this board pointed this out every time we were in the redzone.

No changes please, i like the way we lose all of our games.Deep Pass on 3rd and inches that´s what i want to see instead of a qb sneak, and after the incomplition a punt followed by a fistpump! GOOOOOOOOOOOO Phiiiiiiiiiiiins

So they wait until we are 0-5 to make any changes.....

That's the MO of this regime. We have a horrible ST coach and we know it, but don't make any changes until after NE shreds our ST. We have a horrible CB, but don't cut him until NE torches him. This regime has no vision and is all about knee jerk reactions.

Lets email this to Denver so they know what we will be trying to do in the red zone this week.

Daboll is just kidding. He wants the Broncos to think we would actually do something besides force the ball to Marshall in the red zone. Thomas will get a token carry just to try and distract them, but that's it.

yeah that's just something so painfully obvious that I want to walk down to Florida and slap both Daboll and Sparano. You have a BIG rookie back who has been productive and runs HARD. In the games DT has played I barely remember him touching the ball in the redzone.

He still doesn't get it. We need Bush in the redzone. This offense is so predictable.

We should actually use Bush in the passing game. I've no idea why we're not sending him out on routes. Ever since he arrived, he has been grossly misused.

Pretty Obvious..

Someone get Thomas some balm for his hammy.
