Brian Daboll thoughts??

You open the running game by throwing the ball. As much as they have played with this OL and still can't run it is getting to the point where they are pounding a square nail into a round hole. With Henning, defenses knew what was coming. Daboll may leave them off balance.

we shall see but at some point the line has to move somebody. U cant have have a qb as prone to mistakes as henne or moore and put the team on theri back, without a run game thye will be exposed. Bush will help as will Thomas in pass game but at end of day these guys need to move the pile forward

I liked the play calling, if that was vanilla then we're in for a real treat in the future. He's fiery, I like that.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I didn't like the Daboll hire either, but so far, it's an upgrade at the very least. I hope we come out guns a-blazin against the Patsies.

I was interested in how (or if) he would use charles clay. I guess they aren't letting any of their secrets out yet, but Clay did start the game and he saw a ton of snaps. I think he fully intends to take advantage of some mismatches using this guy.

We will probably come out guns ablazing but it will be a 9mm veruss a 50 cal lol.

I had my concerns and groans with daboll when I heard the fins hired him. I mean, going from Henning, who had the dolphins ranked 29th in offense, to Daboll and the Browns 31st ranked offense...

I hated the move. He and Henning were so similar, both love the wildcat... I still don't like the hire. I read Daboll wanted to run a west coast type of offense for Miami and I liked the idea of it. Like many of you, I do not want to see the wildcat. Sure it helped when henne went down vs Tennessee last season, but, come on. It's over. Daboll has more talent to work with than what he had in cleveland so I guess it could work out here.

Just as long as I don't see a PA pass on 3rd and long... Jesus, Henning WTF? I really hope he didn't think the LBs were going to bite on those plays...

Maybe we're not the ground and pound team we all thought we were. Maybe, just maybe this staff realizes that you don't win division titles by pounding the rock. And although it was just the first preseason game, that offensive line shows me that maybe a pass first offense would be for the better. Our offensive line was shakey. Just my thoughts.

I think as we see more of Daboll's offense we will be pleasantly surprised with his creativity.

He learned his craft in NE and runs the similar offence , a reason i thought he will get hoyer for a 3rd or something. the qb 2 yrs in his system and him running the same system. I think it might have helped him a bit as now the coach and qb can be on the same page.

A change was definitely needed, Henning was awful. Kudos to the Phins for making that change. Unfortunately, they didn't even try to address the weakest link on the team, QB. Until they get some real competition for Henne, the Phins won't make playoffs, let alone compete for a SB.

That came from a Reggie Bush quote. With respect to Reggie Bush, he's only ever played in a WCO and anything that smacks of frequent use of RBs in the passing game and a zone run scheme (which we saw zero of vs Atlanta) is going to look like the WCO. The fact is that Daboll comes from Bellichick's ******* offense, which rips the good things from other offenses and somehow turns them into a cohesive whole (which is all but impossible to do.) When Sparano described the size of the full playbook, I wasn't surprised.

Dabolls offense scheme is gonna be exciting to see. With Reggie, Thomas, Gates, Marshall, Bess and more he should have all the weapons in the world to succeed! Cant wait for week one!!!!!!
