Brian Hartline is overrated

Hartline is a player that needs to be seen on a case to case basis and not on a catch and catch basis finheaven style. The one who has overhyped him has been no other than finheaven. He isn't the talk of town in bars or other places where people have above average football knowledge.

Hartline starts in NY (over Cotchery) and New England (over Tate; Welker in slot). He starts in Cleveland, Baltimore, Jacksonville, maybe Tennessee, San Diego, Minnesota, maybe Carolina. There might be others.

If Brady was throwing him the rock he'd be in the pro bowl. Henne is the issue, not Hartline. Henne needs to drops his nuts and put the ball in there.

Apart us, I'm not sure anybody in the NFL knows about Hartline. Hence, he isn't really even rated. I think people on this forum like nit picking with things they don't understand. Not every receiver is going to get 80 catches and 1,000 yards. Hartline has consistently been a guy that averages quite a bit per reception and gets yards after the catch. And unlike what other people think, Hartline gets very good separation.

Do you watch the games... or just the high lites? He might not have elite speed but runs good routes, is tough.... And has gotten OPEN many times with .500 QB Play. I Hold Hope just not my Breath over Henne having a breakout year. But if he does Brian Hartline will be a Serious part of it.

Welker? Really? Yeah look at him killing in New England the past how many years.. Thank goodness we got rid of him!

EXACTLY!!!!!....The Welker trade is one of the worst trades this team ever made thanks to these morons (and their Lord of Douchebaggery Bill Parcells).

While you can't argue that what we got (a 2nd and a 7th.....didn't we blow that 2nd on John Beck??) wasn't a fair deal, the point these morons didn't get was....YOU DON"T TRADE HIM INSIDE YOUR DIVISION TO ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS WHO REALLY WANT HIM!!! We knew how dangerous he could be and so did Belichick - I remember an interview he did about the decision to trade for Welker and he said, "When we played the Dolphins, we could never stop him" (and he knew our schemes which he blabbed to Belicheat) yet our illustrious FO thought it was no big deal.....for this one decision alone they all should have been run out of town on a rail THEN and chased with pitchforks and torches!

I hate Hartline for one thing. thats the fumble vs. pittsburgh when henne had a nice drive going. Other than that, the dude is a player. He is a guy that henne can rely on most of the time. He cannot say that to the guy who pouted after catching a ball at the ten yd line and then throws the ball to the sideline for a penalty!!!! u kidding me!!! that is completely unnacceptable! Marshall is now a person with a knife wound for the rest of his days and admitted disorder. Lets see how he passes his new test!

Marshall Marshall Marshall. I think all you crybabies should go to his doctor visits and show him who he is.

ppl's obsession with wr's baffles me. taht really isnt a concern. i think hartlie is pretty solid. i've seen him beat plenty of ppl and get over/under thrown alot. . . give the kid a break.

he wasnt traded. he was restricted with a 2nd round tage on him. we did not match the offer. why? cus it was alot of money and we werent going anywhere with him anyways.

i doubt it. he would be fine receiver who would be a part of a 5 WR core. which is what he is here. henne being the issue seems to be changing with hartline here, at least that is what is supposed.

Ummm......WRONG! : http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2788847

"the Patriots planned to sign Welker to a restricted free agent offer sheet. But the two teams obviously decided to avoid the red-tape and uncertainty that accompanies such a transaction and opted for a trade instead."

"The trade agreement, though, renders moot the question of whether Miami would have matched an offer sheet and allows Welker to immediately move to the Pats."

If I had half a penny everytime I've had to explain that we just COULD NOT KEEP WELKER!... I could cover earth with pennies...
