this thing has turned into an embarassing mess because our perfect situation(Schott and Capers) fell through

don't really care who we hire now

Brian Schottenheimer was not qualified for the position and made the right decision.

What the hell has Brian Schott ever done???? Perfect? Please.

Because an obscure assistant didn't come does not make this an embarrassment. Securing Capers was a great move, talking to all possible candidates is a great move, and getting Shula and Marino involved is a great move. I think the franchise has been thorough and diligent.

I'm looking at this to be a good thing, man when Saban came in here at least 90% of us all thought he was going to lead this team to the Superbowl in 2 or 3 years. Didn't happen. Maybe now if we get a guy in here with no expectations something good will happen out of it. I'm excited for whoever we get, there is no perfect plan because any plan my end up being good when it looks bad, or visa versa.

PLAN? PLAN? Did someone say PLAN!?!?! There is a PLAN?! out there? Someone please fax this plan to Brian, Wayne, Randy, WHOEVER, just get it to them NOW!

I was happy that Shottenheimer stayed with the Jets. Good luck with the search

hmmm and the jets were only 6 points better than miami all year 20 to 17 and 13 to 10...that makes them great?

Do you have anyone else with a bright and innovative mind on the offensive side of the ball that you don't want us to have--because if we took him it would help us and weaken you considerably? If so, Wayne would be happy to go pick him up in our sexy 737.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, your avatar is truly disturbing.

The guy coordinates a 25th ranked offense. Give him a raise!!

That was without a starting RB and one of the worst starting QB's in the league in Pennington. He was very creative and got a ton of production out of very little.

That said I don't think he is ready for a HC gig just yet.
